In Alice In Wonderland, Alice falls down a rabbit hole and enters a fantastic world of Lewis Carroll's design.
A century-and-a-half later, Alison Wonderland architects a world of her own design as its chief author, creator, and voice. The Sydney-born and Los Angeles-based singer, producer, songwriter, and DJ realizes this vision at the intersection of future-facing pop, explosive beat-craft, and eternal dance rhythms.
Since emerging in 2009, her sound quietly inched towards mainstream ubiquity as the sonic sorceress received the "Highest Female DJ Billing Ever at Coachella," captured #1 on the Billboard Top Dance/Electronic Albums Chart twice consecutively, headlined sold out arenas around the globe, and clocked upwards of 100 million streams by 2018. Not to mention, ELLE proclaimed her one of its "Women On The Verge," and she garnered features from FADER, Glamour, Seventeen, Interview, Wonderland, Chicago Tribune, Du Jour, and more. Simultaneously, Alison's Radio Wonderland show clocked 5 million-plus iTunes downloads as well as broadcasting to over 20 countries and featuring prominently on the Sirius XM channel Diplo's Revolution. That steady rise represents the culmination of a lifetime dedicated to crafting ethereal and engaging escapist music befitting of her evocative moniker.
She architected the foundation for this world as a child. The classically trained cellist split her formative years between the Sydney Youth Orchestra and playing guitar in local bands before diving into production and DJ-ing during 2008. Grinding it out with regular night club sets around Australia and a series of remixes for everyone from Little Dragon to Justin Bieber, she ignited an international splash in 2015 with the full-length debut, Run. Not only did it reach gold status down under, but it earned a pair of nominations at the ARIA Awards. Arriving with a bang, she made her live introduction stateside at Coachella. Fast forward to 2017, she achieved the "Best New Artist" honor at the first-ever Electronic Dance Music Awards, while her remix of Dua Lipa's "New Rules" soared to #1 on the Billboard Dance Charts.
Alison's 2018 sophomore effort, Awake, leveled up every element. She joined forces with an all-star cast of collaborators such as Joel Little [Lorde], Illangelo [The Weeknd], Party Favor [Mad Decent], and longtime cohort Lido. Meanwhile, she teamed up with innovators including Chief Keef on "Dreamy" and Trippie Redd on "High." The record became the multi-talented phenomenon's second straight #1 bow on the Billboard Top Dance/Electronic Albums Chart as "Church" leapt past the 14 million-mark on Spotify in a few months' time. For the ensuing headline tour, she sold out hallowed venues across the states, namely Bill Graham Civic Auditorium and WaMu Theatre, to name a few.
However, Alison's world continues to grow and expand with each subsequent single, album, and tour. It'll only get brighter, bolder, and bigger from here on out.
Best show I’ve been to in a while, music was great the staff were very nice and helpful and everyone was having a good time
Alison was so good. She really did such a stellar job at putting on a good show with great visuals. I’ll definitely go again when she comes back!
Loved alisons set, was amazing. However the aragon ballroom needed to add some lasers, wouldve made the experience wayyy better
The Aragon is my favorite venue in chicago. My partner & I were up front and Alison was amazing
What a performance! Last minute plan, happy we decided to go the morning of the show.
I went into the concert thinking it might not be butter, but then I went rolled dick and realized it certainly was butter.
Honestly was not the greatest experience it felt like it was very unorganized
Everyone I know who as seen her said she tends to leave early or not put out the best show but I personally thought she did amazing and that it was a great show. With great graphics and she made it feel personal talking to the crowd. I loved every minute of it.
Loved all of it. Best place to go to a concert in the cities.
I loved the set a lot. The Awake tour is awesome and so many dope songs got played, totally recommend. I really liked Good Enough and Easy, the first two Awake songs she played. Go with friends!
The concert was amazing but my friend told me she was on her way but never showed up so i was there by myself.
The show was too short and the bathrooms had long lines.
One of the best I have been to in a long time, she really threw it down and my group had a blast! I knew she was going to be good and I was still surprised.
I love the way she opens her show and played all the songs I was listened to beforehand. When I was at countdown I never thought I would attend an Alison Wonderland event but the way she opens her show she just grabs and makes you want to stay. Also her music is not all trap style. There are some chill style to her songs such as "Run" and "Church." Those two songs were the main reasons I attended but I ended up liking the rest of her set. I also loved that she sang live during some of her songs and during Virtual Self's "Ghost Voices." It was a cool collaboration when she sang "Awake" while that song was playing. The way she ended her show with her remix and live vocals of Ed Sheeran's "Shape of You" was unexpected and cool which is why I love raves. You know djs/producers are going to play their hit songs and some new ones but they grab you with some unexpected songs they have never released or release after the show is done. Each show or set list is never the same as the one before.
The show and the venue were great I just wish it didn't end so early
I've seen other electronic artists at this venue and at others and she killed this show. Alison's visuals were insane, her music was beautiful, filthy, and raw. You could feel how much energy, emotion, and love she put into this show and her music. She's one of the best electronic artists out there hands down. This performance was utterly insane in the most amazing way possible. You need to see her live.
I had a blast with my girlfriend. We both really liked the show.
Alison puts on a great show from start to finish ,she gives it her all the whole show . So many feels at this show . Bill Graham is a great venue to . You can sit and chill or be in the crowd
Venue is huge and Alison Wonderland sold out!! Had the time of my life watching her set.
Big improvement over last time i saw her Highly recommend great visuals. Venue is great i love BG civic. the only negatives were she did not play a couple of her hit songs and the sound was very muffled not clear
