    Consummate performer never disappoints

by aynsof on 6/12/11Fraze Pavilion - Kettering

I get it. The girl always gets top billing. But the talented Union Station lineup deserves equal consideration and praise. With Jerry Douglas on dobro and Tim Kaminsky out front, Krauss has the opportunity to sizzle and shine. Tight vocals and instrumental prowess make any Allison Krauss and Union Station concert a must see. They never disappoint, showing unequaled artistry over the full range of diverse material.

    Alison and Gang... awesome!

by halfcracked on 6/11/11The Lawn at White River State Park - Indianapolis

This concert was a mix of oldies and new songs... ALL good... from beginning to end. The venue was also so nice... quiet and respectful crowd in a really nice atmosphere in White River State Park. Even the youngsters with us commented on how much they enjoyed the event with well behaved crowd. We sat in lawn... and frankly anywhere would have been fine. The free seats offered by the Park also made it truly special. Another FINE job... INDY. It's a great place to be!!!

    AKUS Was Wonderful

    by JDR100 on 6/6/11Louisville Palace - Louisville

I'm a biased reviewer. I would pay to listen to her sing the phone book. But it was a wonderful show. They played for over two hours. They played a nice mix of old and new stuff. The band recently got back together after a long layoff, and they did have a few small glitches. The Palace is usually a magical venue, but for some reason the A/C wasn't working this night. Oh well, I still enjoyed the show greatly.

    Excellent live performance

by JRousseau on 5/26/11Rhode Island College - Providence

I have enjoyed Alison Krauss and the Union Station since they teamed up way back when. They are some of the most talented performers and arrangers that I've encountered to date. Their live performances are as wonderful as their recordings. I really appreciate their excellent and outstanding musicianship.

    AMAZING!!!

by jonnnm on 6/20/10Ryman Auditorium - Nashville

Concert was unbelievable. Special guest Jon Foreman showed up. And not to mention, my celebrity crush, Taylor Swift came and sat next to me. It was needless to say, the greatest concert that I have see in awhile.

So much talent, so little time.

    by Lovinglife74 on 3/8/10Ryman Auditorium - Nashville

This was one of the best concerts I've ever been to. So many great acts- Brandon Heath, Switchfoot, Jars of Clay, Matt Kearney, Needtobreathe, and of course, Alison Krauss and Union Station. Hosted by Big Kenny (he also performed) and Shaun Groves (who did not perform, unfortunately). Everyone was so good, performing mostly acoustic pieces, which seemed appropriate for the venue (the Ryman). The only problem was that the sets were so short, we just heard a few of the artists' most popular songs, then it was on to the next act. I definitely didn't get enough of Alison Krauss- what an amazing voice. Would love to see this concert again.

Big Kenny, Need To Breathe, Union Station, GREAT!

by TinasHusband on 3/5/10Ryman Auditorium - Nashville

This was a great show! Big Kenny was very entertaining, but most of all he was sincere. I was turned on to acts that I had previously not heard of, but now a fan, i.e. Need to Breathe, Matt Carney, etc. Alison as always...WONDERFUL!

Help Haiti,A Good Cause but Wanted More Alison&US

    by ADMom4101 on 3/3/10Ryman Auditorium - Nashville

Overall Enjoyed the concert. How could you not, Alison Kraus at the Ryman is sure to be a great moment. Unfortunately, that is all it seemed to be, a moment. We have had the pleasure to watch Alison Kraus & US at other venues and were amazed at their talent, humor, stories and overall performance of the show. The opportunity to see them again and at the Ryman was a dream come true so we flew from Florida for the show. Being the main act, we would have thought they would play more songs. Maybe because it was a benefit concert, I don't know, but I wished they would of have played longer. Big Kenny seemed to hold the stage. Again, any act at the Ryman is great and Alison Kraus & US is a true talent. If you get the chance for either, don't miss out!

    Fantastic Show!

by AnnieBC on 3/1/10Ryman Auditorium - Nashville

I enjoyed nearly every second of it. I was not a huge fan of the MC, Big Kenny, but he by no means ruined the night. I would rather have heard more from Shaun Groves.

Well worth the drive from west Tennessee . . .

by NashvilleNovice on 3/1/10Ryman Auditorium - Nashville

The tremendous performances by each of these singers and musicians was only 1 facet of this ENJOYABLE evening. A heartfelt collaboration at the Ryman for an important effor to suport relief efforts in HAITI with each artist expressing a personal motivation to contribute and connect with those in such a horrific dilemma. I count myself fortunate that Memphis is only a 3 hour drive from Nashville to participate in this event in person :-) !

The organizers of this event did a fantastic job in putting together one of the best concerts I have been to in years. Every performer that evening would be worthy to watch in a solo act.

    Alison was good

by wolfiemar on 2/28/10Ryman Auditorium - Nashville

To be honest, I wouldn't have paid 20 dollars for the whole concert, but since the 150.00 I spent on 2 tickets was going to help Haiti, I can only try to think my money wasn't a waste. Alison Krauss is always good (and her band) but didn't care for any of the rest.

While parking was a big of a pain, the event was spectacular! The eclectic mix of artists were all amazing and it's always nice to see Nashville celebrities in the crowd. Compassion is a great organization and I am happy to support their efforts in Haiti.

    Wonderful

    by TML05 on 2/28/10Ryman Auditorium - Nashville

What a great concert for a great cause. Every artist in the lineup was amazing. Alison was breathtaking as expected but something I wasn't expecting was a band called Need to Breathe. I had never heard of them and now I have their cd. They almost stole the show with their performance and beautiful harmonies. Brandon Heath, Matt Wertz, and my favorite, Dave Barnes opened the show with great songs. I wish they could of played a little longer. They also threw some surprise guests in and it made for a wonderful evening!
