Alex puts on a Great Show everytime! I will be there next year if Alex is performing on February 14, 2023
All the songs have new energy with the new 19-year-old that has join the band!!! He is truly a secret weapon!! He is the son of the drummer Poogie Bell! I really enjoyed the show!!!🎶🎶🎶
Alex was on the mark as usual. His talent and personality shown brightly on this Valentine’s concert. And the venue, Ludlow Garage, was perfect!
I love the Ludlow Garage. They are a quaint venue and a very nice staff. However, whoever runs their sound has done a mediocre job at a lot of shows we have been to. At the Alex Bugnon concert, it was mixed terribly. The keyboard was mixed so hot that the snare drum would rattle whenever the keyboard was played. The saxophone was drowned out as well. It's a small house with and odd shape and solid walls. I'm not sure that the sound guy takes that into consideration. The show itself was great and they played well. It would have been much more enjoyable if everything would have been mixed properly and at a sound level appropriate for the size of the venue.
Alex was great enjoy the entire show, nice smooth jazz very romantic evening, looking forward to see him again
I thought the concert was very good. Also, i enjoyed the venue. I do suggest that you have ushers to assist with finding your seats. I had eight people with me & it was difficult to find the seats without assistance. Other than that, all went well. Thanks
My wife and I took in an Alex Bugnon concert on Valentine’s weekend at The Ludlow Garage in Cincinnati. He brought a touch of the Montreux Jazz Festival with him! His set was energetic, engaging and aurally satisfying. Winston Bell, the 17 year old son of Alex’s drummer, Poogie Bell, joined the band for the last third of the set, playing saxophone that would make Najee proud. Alex’s bassist, Victor Bailey, plays with a fervor befitting a true musician and really brought the funk. All in all, I strongly encourage all true contemporary jazz fans to seek out Alex if he’s anywhere in your area. Heck, it’s well worth a road trip too! Great show.
My Date and I really enjoyed the show! The setting was very comfortable and we look forward to coming back! Alex and Crew performed so well!
History making concert. Alex Bugnon at his finest with Poogie Bell, Winston Bell and Sean Michael Ray made for a great night!
Great experience, great show! The you 17 Year was a real treat!
Loved the venue and the intimacy of the show. The drummer's son was awesome.
I've seen Alex Bugnon 3 times over the past twenty years and he has gotten better over the years. This show was amazing.
I've seen Alex before and he has never ever disappointed me. I never hesitate to see him. He puts on an amazingly awesome show
I love the experience. The concert was awesome. Can wait until he comes back
The staff of the Ludlow Garage were wonderful. I highly recommended to anyone thinking about attending a show there. Alex Bugnon put on a great show.
Always enjoyed his music but his in concert experience was AWESOME!
I had never been to the Ludlow Garage...nice venue! Alex was great.
For a measly $25, I saw the best concert put on by the best “small” band at the Iridium in NYC! Alex Bugnon is off the hook and the band he has with him are the most talented musicians I’ve heard in a very long time. It sounded like 25 people. I could have listened to them all night!!!!!!
Alex put on a very good performance with some of his classics and some material i haven't heard before. His small band was excellent. he had the crowd in a frenzy very entertaining!!
Alex played brilliantly as usual. I don't know how Youngstown managed to acquire Alex Bugnon for our enjoyment, but I am grateful. He usually commands $100 or more per performance and we paid $10. Thank you Youngstown! Back to Alex... I have been a fan since his first album in late 1980s. To see him in person in a once in a lifetime experience.
