About

Alessia Cara In Concert

Alessia Cara's messages of empowerment make her shows feel like communal celebrations of the self. The Canadian pop singer burst into the pop consciousness in 2015, when her outcast anthem "Here" reached the No. 5 spot on Billboard's Hot 100. Since then, she's notched multiple Top 10 hits, performed at festivals like Austin City Limits and Life Is Beautiful, headlined her own tours, won the Best New Artist Grammy, and released two critically acclaimed albums. The year 2019 sees her touring her home country as a headliner before joining fellow Canadian Shawn Mendes for the U.S. and European legs of his self-titled arena tour.

Alessia Cara Background

"Here," which Cara released when she was 19, was a rare pop song that also caught the ear of critics. It blended a killer sample (from Isaac Hayes' "Ike's Rap II") with forthright lyrics about feeling alienated at a party, and it became an all-around sensation. Cara's first album, 'Know-It-All,' followed in November 2015, and singles like "Wild Things" and "Scars to Your Beautiful" cemented her rep as a cheerleader for the outcasts. To craft her anthems, she drew on the raw vocals of soul music and the textures of modern pop. In 2017, she became a pop-radio fixture again thanks to her bouncy collaboration with EDM superstar Zedd. "Stay" reached No. 7 on the Hot 100 and went double-platinum in the U.S. The thoughtful mental-health–minded track "1-800-273-8255" – a collaboration with the rapper Logic and the crooner Khalid – was nominated for Song of the Year at the 2018 Grammys. Cara was nominated for four Grammys total that year, winning Best New Artist and performing "1-800-273-8255" in honor of the late Chris Cornell. In 2018, Cara released her second album, 'The Pains of Growing,' on which singles like the title track and the reggae-tinged "Trust My Lonely" take a close-up look at the challenges posed by adulthood.

    Unexpected greatness

by MoMoMimosa on 11/2/19Rosemont Theatre - Rosemont

We had seats in the balcony and when we got there they upgraded our seats for free to floor seats in like the 11th row which was awesome. Ryland James was a great show opener. It was a Halloween themed show so everyone was dressed up and it just gave the place a chill vibe. Alessia Cara is a true down to earth genuine person. We laughed, we cried many emotions throughout her perfomances. Excellent concert!

Security needs to be a little faster, but the experience was amazing. Met the opening act and have been a fan of him for over two years. Alessia was amazing, the intimacy was great, the venue is beautiful.

by Adrienne E on 11/1/19Old National Centre - Indianapolis

We love Alessia Cara because most of her songs are about loving yourself and being empowered. This was my daughters' first concert and they had a blast!Alessia kept the crowd engaged. This concert was a good mixture of younger kids as well as adults and both generations seemed to have fun.

    Era of Perseverance!!!

by Stevie on 10/31/19Coca-Cola Roxy - Atlanta

Alessia’s latest album “October” and “Pains of Growing” related to life as an adult and all of the ups and downs life throws your way, especially with relationships. The concert for me was self therapy. Her music is therapeutic for those who can directly relate. Alessia leaves every situation with a sense of self worth. She insists that “YOU” are the owner of your mental thoughts. Alessia has put a stamp on her music with the realistic life instances that are relatable to every age and person.

Alessia was the best -Ticketmaster not so much

by Vip? on 10/31/19Coca-Cola Roxy - Atlanta

We bought vip tickets thinking it was meet and greet, learning it was ONLY early entry. We learned others has the same problem. Some complained a ton and got in the meet and greet. We are not complainers but suffered the loss. The process is obviously unclear if there were multiples with this problem. The concert, however was THE BEST. Love Alessia!!!!

On a scale of 1-10 I'm at 11. Okay okay

by Rachel on 10/29/19The Anthem - Washington

She's a QUEEN. She touched me and her hands were very soft. She looked into my eyeballs and sang to me. She pointed me out during How Far I'll Go and held my hand because SHE KNEW I loved Moana.

by Taz on 10/29/19The Anthem - Washington

I got the opportunity to touch her hands and she pointed at me a few times. The only thing that i dont like is that the security told us to get back a bit so i cant record a video at a good angle but other than that, it was FIRE!!!!!
