About

Alessia Cara In Concert

Alessia Cara's messages of empowerment make her shows feel like communal celebrations of the self. The Canadian pop singer burst into the pop consciousness in 2015, when her outcast anthem "Here" reached the No. 5 spot on Billboard's Hot 100. Since then, she's notched multiple Top 10 hits, performed at festivals like Austin City Limits and Life Is Beautiful, headlined her own tours, won the Best New Artist Grammy, and released two critically acclaimed albums. The year 2019 sees her touring her home country as a headliner before joining fellow Canadian Shawn Mendes for the U.S. and European legs of his self-titled arena tour.

Alessia Cara Background

"Here," which Cara released when she was 19, was a rare pop song that also caught the ear of critics. It blended a killer sample (from Isaac Hayes' "Ike's Rap II") with forthright lyrics about feeling alienated at a party, and it became an all-around sensation. Cara's first album, 'Know-It-All,' followed in November 2015, and singles like "Wild Things" and "Scars to Your Beautiful" cemented her rep as a cheerleader for the outcasts. To craft her anthems, she drew on the raw vocals of soul music and the textures of modern pop. In 2017, she became a pop-radio fixture again thanks to her bouncy collaboration with EDM superstar Zedd. "Stay" reached No. 7 on the Hot 100 and went double-platinum in the U.S. The thoughtful mental-health–minded track "1-800-273-8255" – a collaboration with the rapper Logic and the crooner Khalid – was nominated for Song of the Year at the 2018 Grammys. Cara was nominated for four Grammys total that year, winning Best New Artist and performing "1-800-273-8255" in honor of the late Chris Cornell. In 2018, Cara released her second album, 'The Pains of Growing,' on which singles like the title track and the reggae-tinged "Trust My Lonely" take a close-up look at the challenges posed by adulthood.

    AMAZING SHOW AND PERFORMER

by Margie on 11/21/19South Side Ballroom - Dallas

Enjoyed hearing the opening act - Ryland Jones. And Alessia was outstanding - personable, great singing. The only unfortunate part is EVERYONE stood the entire time she performed, and my 11-year-old niece could not see her on stage (we were in the 4th row). So we had to go up front to see, and the security people didn't want us to stay up there long. We would go again, but would buy tickets in the first row next time or way back.

    GREAT ENERGY

by Roland on 11/19/19The Masonic - San Francisco

This was my 3rd time seeing Alessia live. I loved the setlist cause she performed a bulk of her new album, some old hits, and stuff from her new EP. I also become a new fan of the opener Ryland James.

    Great Intimate show.

by Herb. B on 11/19/19The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas - Las Vegas

The opening act was Ryan James. I bit to much for me but the your girls seemed to really enjoy him. I have never had the pleasure to see Alessia Cara live but since my 10 year old loves her songs I figured. She has a good message was I right. She gave so much women positive and over great message about loving yourself and be kind to other. Music was great, and the venue as well ventilated a bit much on the fog but over all cool. The staff was also very chill and helpful.

    She Took Roses From Me!

by DeAngelo Dixon on 11/18/19The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas - Las Vegas

I went to the show with 2 objectives in mind! 1. Give a bouquet of roses to Alessia. Accomplished! And 2. Have the time of my life, enjoy some awesome music and vibe out with the little unicorn. Accomplished! She most definitely killed the show! Vocals were on point and Ryland James did his thing I can’t wait until she comes back!

    What an awesome concert!

by MC on 11/12/19The Masonic - San Francisco

I took my 10 year old daughter and her friend to see Alessia Cara at the Masonic SF. It was their first concert so I was a little apprehensive at first about bringing young children. Quickly my nerves were calmed as we were happily greeted by the Masonic staff. They were helpful in pointing out directions to our seats, food, bathrooms, etc. Everything from the venue, it’s amenities, and to Alessia Cara and her music was amazing and spot on! She was so energetic, creative with her use of props, and a very talented musician . What amazed me most was her interaction with the audience. Not once did she falter in running up and down shaking hands. She also took a moment to speak from her heart and send a positive message to the audience to love yourself. Her chosen attire was casual comfy and not at all inappropriate for the younger crowds. I can’t say enough about how positive this concert was for my daughter’s first ever concert experience. I hope to see Alessia Cara’s career continue to succeed and we have an opportunity to see her again!

    Alessia Cara Is Amazing Live!

    by D. G. on 11/11/19The Masonic - San Francisco

First time seeing Alesia Cara live. I knew I was going to get a great show out of her but man she really delivered. Her live vocals are just amazing! She engaged the audience throughout the night, made us laugh, almost made me cry, and showed her charm over and over again. Great entertainer, highly recommend seeing her live if you ever get the opportunity.

by AY on 11/11/19The Masonic - San Francisco

I loved every minute of her performance. Alessia is truly underrated in this generation but I am pleased because I felt like the concert was more intimate and I was able to see and hear her well. An insanely talented person.

    The show was perfect, but...

    by K. M. on 11/11/19The Masonic - San Francisco

Usually I never have a problem with venues, but usually they let us wait in the basement area. This time they didn't have a place to wait until it was time to go in for my group of ticket holders. We were there very early and did not really know where to go since they did not let us wait at the venue. The show was great and had a really enjoyable time for the entire experience once I got inside the venue.

    Great experience

    by L. L. on 11/8/19Moore Theatre - Seattle

Alessia gave a great one hour show. She sounds just like her recordings when she sings live. Her stage was great and the band and her had a great chemistry. I even paid extra to meet her. She was very kind. I would tell anyone with a child 9 and older it was totally appropriate for them! Lots of tween/teenagers/ and young 20’s and of course parents! Mech for Alessia was nice quality, sweatshirts $60 and t shirts $30-40. Signed record $30. Only complaint is they ask you to be there by 4:30 to get meet and greet lanyard. Then another hour and half outside in the cold wait to go inside to wait again for another 45 minute wait. Basically the lines were longer than Disneyland!

I Wasn’t Ready for that Amazing Show

by Kaila on 11/6/19Rosemont Theatre - Rosemont

Alessia Cara is someone who was born to create music. She’s someone who cares about every song she makes and every person she makes it for. I laughed and I cried at this concert, I danced like the world was going to end. She’s someone who is so committed to her work and her audience and I loved every second of that concert!

Such a great experience!! I had VIP and it was very personal. Alessia was so kind and the process was not rushed so we were able to chat and take multiple pictures. The concert itself was awesome, she is such a great singer and performer. Her opener Ryland James was amazing as well.

Had to Leave Cause of Opening

by Jill on 11/4/19Mystic Lake Casino Hotel - Prior Lake

I loved Alessia's performance but I had to leave early. It is frustrating when I buy tickets for an event and I can't see the whole performance because of the opening act. I only had a certain amount of time to be there and the opening act cut in my ability to see Alessia. I want to be notified if there is a delay in start time or if there is an opening act.
