Some lines, but great environment. Too bad you can't get tickets for the whole arena.

Rating: 5 out of 5 albany empire is badass
by blaurock on 6/21/18Times Union Center - AlbanyOn Saturday went and watched Albany empire at TU center. It was an awesome experience and extremely entertaining. I enjoyed it more almost than a Yankees game because there was more action I will definitely attend again.
Rating: 2 out of 5 Albany Empire
by gtw2 on 6/19/18Times Union Center - AlbanyGame and seats were great. Ticketmaster extra charges on tickets were pretty hefty. Alcohol prices were pretty high. Security at Times Union Center is a joke and no security or very little security presence outside after the game.
Rating: 5 out of 5by EdwardAppleby on 6/19/18Times Union Center - Albany Outstanding event for children. Action packed and the players understand that it’s about the interaction and experience of young fans. 3 children ages 14, 11 and 8 all had a blast:

Rating: 3 out of 5 Arena Football: Interesting Sport ...
by TomAndersonFanClub on 5/29/18Times Union Center - AlbanyOn the Game of Arena Football: • Arena football is a blast. Plenty of action, rules are not hard and it all makes sense. It is way better in person than on TV (as is most sport). This sport should be bigger than it is today. • I would imagine that if you were a true fan of a specific team that the ending few minutes of a close game would be as intense as any sport in existence. • This is not NFL football done in a gimmicky kind of way. It is clearly a separate sport with distinctly separate skills. The two can co-exist but are certainly not co-dependent • I have no idea how these guys don’t get killed hitting and going over the boards (onto solid cement in some cases) On the League: • No way this league survives with 4 teams, especially since it looks like hardly anyone attends Washington (& Baltimore?) games and their existence has to be in danger. . • They need some sort of desperate measure like linking all leagues. Perhaps an arrangement with relegation/delegation might work in the long term but could put someone (like the Vapors) out of business in the short term • They need to sign some stars that create press. See Joe Namath 1965 and what it did for the old AFL. At least sign NFL has-beens if they can. On the Albany Empire experience: • Too loud and forced at times • Otherwise a nice all around effort to make a game day experience • Don’t just give T-shirts and hot dogs to the first few rows of the lower bowl. Get some people upstairs to let those people know you appreciate them buying tickets too. • Crowd was way too small for this team at this time in an inaugural season. I have to question its’ eventually viability. On the Times Union Center: • Nice arena but clearly minor league. If the AFL does not have teams in MSG and similar arenas, it will never be more than a minor league • Too many stairs to deal with for an older person. Not having rest rooms on the promenade level is ridiculous • Seats are way too narrow for 2018. What idiot decided to make to it worse by putting cup holders in the arm rests? The big fella in front of us was stuck and in pain. • Needs better direction from parking garage and a map to show where to go for food, etc. • Johnny Rockets was horrid. Way too loud, limited menu, poor service, poor food. Had no idea where else to go due to aforementioned lack of directions, maps. So after it was over, how did we feel about going to another game? • Wife liked it but did not feel it was equal to the experience of going to a Jets game. She would go once a year if it was her choice. • Dad would go again next year if we could find a way to avoid the stairs. • I wouldn’t get season tickets but did enjoy the novelty and would go at least annually, but if the Arena Bowl was at TUC, I would expect to be able to get tix and would go see it. I am looking forward to seeing how this season ends and sincerely hope that there is another one next year.
Rating: 4 out of 5 Arena Football
by KirkCT on 5/29/18Times Union Center - AlbanyGreat time! It was set up for the family so kids will enjoy as well. Get seats in the lower level or you won't have a chance to get stuff thrown into the crowd.
Rating: 5 out of 5 Get out and experience the Empire !
by Vlhope17 on 5/8/18Times Union Center - AlbanyFor those of you that haven't been to a game yet, do yourself a huge favor and get out to the next game. Tons of food and drink options, lots of seating options but don't wait too long as the best ones are always scooped up early. And then there's the game itself. Non-stop action and always lots of scoring. You might want to brush up on Arena football rules before you go as many are different from NFL rules. This is a great opportunity to support big league sports right in your backyard so please take advantage of it.
Rating: 5 out of 5 Amazing Time! Go Empire!
by Maxweb81 on 5/8/18Times Union Center - AlbanyGreat Atmosphere and really worth the value! Go Empire!
Rating: 2 out of 5 Great game, poor management of venue
by ArenaFootballFan on 5/8/18Times Union Center - AlbanyThe game was excellent and production was good. However the 25 minutes in line (twice at two different concession stands) was outrageous and extremely miss managed. Also took 20 minutes to go through security for a game that wasn't even close to being sold out. The venue's management needs to take a much closer look at the efficiency of security and concession stands. I am a huge fan of football but will watch the game from home instead of dealing with that again.
Rating: 5 out of 5 Fun Times
by BernieGlebe on 4/17/18Times Union Center - AlbanyIt's just like watching backyard football. Good times, good beer
Rating: 4 out of 5 Good to have the AFL Back
by Anonymous on 4/17/18Times Union Center - AlbanyGame wasn’t as high paced or shootout worthy as the old league. Still was good to watch seats are still all amazing for these games. Pricing from the team is excellent but concession prices are most definitely a skip, way too high.
Rating: 4 out of 5 Albany Arena Football Is Back
by Dutchman24 on 4/17/18Times Union Center - AlbanyWe went down to the block party which had the Audio Stars playing, they were awesome, then the crowd and atmosphere was great as well.
Rating: 3 out of 5 Great Product - Horrible Concessions
by Cheener61 on 4/17/18Times Union Center - AlbanyThe on the field game play was fun, exciting, and high quality. The seats are comfortable. The staff is helpful. Do NOT attempt to purchase food. I missed the entire second quarter trying to get hot dogs for my kids. Bring cash. There are cash only lines for popcorn/pretzels/beer. Be forewarned. If you eat first, and enjoy the game, your experience will be top notch!
