I have to admit that I am biased in that Ailey is my favorite dance company, and has been for many years. This performance didn't change my feelings. To me, the company represents such a great balance between technique, innovative choreography, moving music, and a depth that most dance companies don't even begin to approach! That combination of ingredients makes for an uplifting and meaningful performance. I find myself sitting on the edge of my seat the entire time!

A brilliant, talented, enthusiastic young company that lit up the stage. Revelations-- the only Alvin Ailey choreographed piece-- was beyond belief. I couldn't keep my hands and feet still. The audience was so enthusiastic that the company did an encore. I don't ever remember seeing an encore by a dance company. It was a marvelous evening and I hope they-- and other dance companies like them-- will come again and again. We need more dance here in Daytona.

I had not seen the dance group since i was a teen, so given the opportunity I went and it was worth it . The show was amazing I will go again when given the chance.

We loved the show! The choreography pulled me in and focused me on every move. You could see it over and over again and see new things each time! It was emotionally stimulating and visually beautiful

The performance was excellent from beginning to end, including the encore. The troupe exemplified commitment, dedication and passion. Every number was well choreographed and performed. Kudos to all involved. P.S. It was especially encouraging to see so many young people attending the performance.

The performance was exceptional-all I had expected and more! Revelations was fantastic; I had only seen pieces until Sunday night. Incredible!

This was pretty much an average show. The choreography was simply boring. I have gone to several Ailey shows and I guess my expectations were high. I am, however, happy they performed "Revelations".

It was a different experience. I had never seen a modern ballet performance before. I would recommend this to some of my friends who have studied this but I do not believe that this event is for everyone. I liked the pieces, but I am not that used to seeing this types of movements, which is why it seemed strange to me at first. But I loved the way the lighting was placed and the way that the music seemed to interact with the movements.

I've seen the troupe perform several times, and each show is amazing. Also, I never get tired of seeing "Revelation." I know all of the songs and most of the dance steps. LOL. No one should die and go to heaven without seeing them perform.

I have always loved Alvin Ailey since I was a child. It is so awesome that I get to share my love of the arts and dance with my daughter. Revelations is always my favorite piece. It was great to see some new pieces and the costumes were amazing.

Ailey II was the most moving performance (no pun intended) I have witnessed in all of my 33 years. I have a 6 yo daughter who is in her second year of formal dance training. I believe in children seeing and experiencing cultural diversity. However, I felt privileged to afford her the oppurtunity to see professionally trained dancers that actually look like her! I am thankful that Mr. Ailey's legacy continues to live on!
