Speaking from prior experience, Aiden always puts on a good show. However, Devil's Night was beyond the ordinary. The band members went all-out with their costumes, the crowd was extremely into it, and the energy onstage was palpable. The set was so long that there was a short intermission for a costume contest, but you won't hear any complaining from me! In my opinion, they are one of this generation's best punk bands, and definitely the best from Washington State. However, the backup bands, with the exception of the talented and relatively unique Moneta, were extremely tedious. Their sound was as predictable as their costumes and just as boring. The formula of pretty scene boys who alternate a few verses of high-pitched singing with four minutes of gut-wrenching screams is getting very old, very fast. But these drawbacks are minor compared with the fantastic show that was Aiden. I had a great time!
