Had an amazing time sad that is the last one at the Metrodome but hope to see it again in the new one
Good Show, the initial racing was kind of boring, but the free style was a lot of fun. It seemed like they were rolling the trucks on purpose. There was a Trailer Race special event that was a lot of fun to watch. If you don't have a coupon code it's cheaper to buy tickets at the gate.
Monster Jam is always a good show, but this event was overhyped because it was the last time in the Metrodome. Expected more, but they didn't come through for their fans...
They rocked the house!!! Can't wait until the new stadium is built so we can see it again!!!!
I thought this years monster jam was AWESOME. Loved the back flips this year too! I am quite bummed that they wont be back for 3 years but I am really really hoping they come back when the new stadium is built.
Had a wonderful time. My son had so much fun seeing grave digger which is his favorite.
Great event, good service and pricing. Venue small for event, but show customed nicely to the coliseum.
Loved the show. First time going to one and I loved every minute of it.
Last year they had the motorcycles doing jumps and other stunts during halftime. It was an incredible show in itself. THis year they had guys come out with little remote controlled cars and jump them over little ramps, so that was a big let down, even though we paid the same amount, if not more, and get less of a show. They also had the jet engine car last year, but not this year, they did have some atv's race around the stadium, but it was nothing compared to the motorcycles. Also, the stadium is just so small for hosting something of this magnitude, as soon as the trucks hit the ramp, they are into the brakes
Show was not very long. This is the second one I have been to so I should have known better. Same show, same cheesy fight with quad drivers. Just very disappointed!! :( Will know better next year when my kids ask to go. Definitely not worth the price of seats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great family friendly event. The trucks, the half time remote control cars and the quads were awesome!
The over all performance of the truck drivers was great! The leader of the show was boring wasn't very intertaning. There were only like 6 monster trucks! I was just hoping for a better show for the amount of money I paid for my tickets. Not to mention the money spent on food and merchandise!
This is a great event to go to. The access to the drivers and the trucks. The roar of the engines. The non-stop action. The constant freebies tossed in the stands. The all out effort given by the drivers. Don't miss the next one in your area.
The only reason I haven't given 5 stars is the size of the venue. I've never been to the Coliseum before and whenever I've seen monster trucks on TV the venues have been pretty big compared to this one. Despite that it was still a hell of a lot of fun! The noise and smell is intense and I love the way we are close enough to get hit by the dirt kicked up when the trucks do doughnuts! The drivers also made it a special occasion. A number of times they would sign items and climb in the crowd to pick out a kid to give it to and at the end of the show they were all available to sign autographs. One or two drivers had a pretty poor attitude and just signed the item and passed it along the line but others were better and would have a quick chat with the fans which was good.
For something I've been looking forward to see since the days of the Bigfoot monster truck, I was excited to take my 5 year old son to see Monster Jam. My son was equally excited to see these monster trucks crush and destroy whatever was put in front of them. Unfortunately, this was hardly the case. It was made to appear as a competition which was entirely fake. The trucks simply jumped ramps missing just about every obstruction intended to prove it's immense size. Wasting every moment possible to ensure their precious paint jobs weren't harmed. Two of the five trucks broke down upon entering the arena. It was like watching kids in a neighborhood park jumping ramps with their skateboards. My son was bored and asking to leave at the intermission, I had to talk him and myself into sitting through the second part. While the freestyle portion at the end is the most enjoyable, it was hardly worth staying around for.
The first half was very boring as the announcer talked more than we got to see the monster trucks. The second half was better but I don't know if it was because the Hampton, VA location was small that they couldn't put on much of a show. Also, all the online advertising showed the marvel trucks being there and that was what my son wanted to see, however, they weren't. Additionally, I ordered the lanyard for my son to have at the show but it didn't even get mailed to me until 2 days after the show once I sent an email to find out what happened to it. Overall, it wasn't worth the money.
I think the cost of the tickets were too high for the performance level received. I noticed a lot of this show was staged and i also feel the gal breaking the trophy because she was mad was not a good role model for all of the children that attended. As well as the gentleman that flew in and cheated in the end. There is enough violence in the world today, i think a form of good sportsmanship really needs to be part of this show.
The event was great and I couldn't believe the tickets that ticketmaster got me. My son had a blast
The boys love Monster Jam! The smiles on their faces is worth every penny!
This was our third monster jam event. I took my wife and my oldest son this was their first event. My Lil 8 year old daughter is the true monster truck fan. We went to the meet and greet where she got to meet all the drivers and not only got individual pictures and autographs but even got a group photo. These guys are great, they truly love their fans and are very interactive. I only wish the venue was bigger, if you haven't been to a show in a larger stadium then you must, they can really rip it up when they have room.
