I have a 3 year old son who is crazy about trucks and somehow found videos of monster trucks on YouTube. It's all he will watch lately, so I decided to look for the closest show around. We drove 4.5 hours to Bangor, Maine from the South Shore of Massachusetts and stayed overnight in a hotel for the show. We bought pit passes and didn't miss a minute of the action. My son had a great day and so did I as a result of seeing how happy it made him to be there. It's not my cup of tea, but those trucks are pretty impressive!
The Baltimore Monster show was incredible. Max D kicked butt as usual and had an awesome 360 and spin out on its side. Pit Party is a must. Only complaint is that they closed it up earlier than advertised. Great Day with the family and friends.
We had a great time, very kid friendly, not over priced on food/merchandise. Even though there were some technical difficulties with grave digger after his EXCELLENT donut performance, & Could not finish out the show, the other truck drivers stepped it up to the FULLEST to give us an AMAZING show... Just when you thought it was time to go home, They pulled another amazing trick out of there hats, all the gentlemen took time to sign autographs for the kids, well played... This is a great event to see if your looking for something to do on family fun day. Full of excitement without breaking the bank.... Thank you Monster Jam... We will be seeing you in July...
We had Total Access Passes which meant a private meet and greet with the drivers & front row seats!!!! The drivers are so down to earth & friendly! The show was amazing! Adam Anderson won racing & Tom Meents won freestyle.....same as in Las Vegas!!! After the show, Tom Meents gave away his helmet like he always does, but then he said he wasn't finished yet......and he gave away his freestyle champion trophy! He gave it to us!!!!!! WE GOT TOM MEENTS TROPHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was SOOOOOOO exciting!! We were all shaking from the excitement!! Tom is the coolest person ever!!!! He made my kids dreams come true!!!! Thanks Tom!!!!!!!!
My kids enjoyed it to the MAX. This was a great show and my family is ready to see another one. The only things a little disappointing was the price for the souvenirs was triple what you could have paid for them at the local Walmart and the prizes given away during the show were given to the individuals in the first couple of rows. It would have been nice for the section we sat in to get some of the prizes.
Well, starting the day off with a terrible pit "party" certainly put a damper on things. I had happily paid the extra $40 for pit passes, as my family and I had a lot of fun last year. We were at the pit party last year from start to finish and it was a blast. This year? This year we were ushered into the “party” in groups of roughly 10 people. The time we got to spend checking out the trucks amounted to the time it took our “guide” to say “This is Batman. It’s his first time here in Maine. Go ahead and snap a picture. Everyone ready to move on? Great!” We barely had time to get a single picture with ANY of the trucks, never mind have the chance to check them out. Several times we actually held our group up because we were trying to get pictures of the kids and their favorite trucks. It was ridiculous. We MIGHT have spent 10 minutes in the pit party before being told we were done and being escorted out. It was absolutely pathetic, and I would be ashamed to say that I actually charged people for it. Whoever decided on this format this year should be fired, in my opinion. A representative from Speedway 95 said that they were told by Monster Jam officials that they didn’t want the drivers out in the rain… which is fine… except that it wasn’t until halfway through the party last year that the drivers even showed up. My kids were there to see the trucks, not the drivers. The show itself was alright. Not as exciting as last year, but the conditions this year were pretty terrible with all the rain, so I can’t get TOO upset, I guess. Somewhat of a let-down that Gravedigger broke himself during the doughnut contest and wasn’t able to come back for the races or freestyle, but the rest of the trucks, with the exception of Hurricane Force – who was pretty lackluster – stepped up to the plate. As usual, the merchandise was over-priced and we didn’t spend much on it this year. $15 cotton candy and snow-cones was enough to turn us off from that. We did grab a couple of Gravedigger flags for the kids, which, amazingly enough, weren’t also $15. At $5 a pop, it kept the kids happy and kept me from getting any more annoyed with Monster Jam this year. All in all, it was pretty below average compared to the other Monster Jam shows we’ve been too. If Monster Jam isn’t committed to providing a quality show to its fans, then I’m probably not committed to buying VIP tickets and pit passes for my entire family anymore either.
Our family had a wonderful time. It was a great show for all ages. And well worth the money. Looking forward to it next year!!
Great seats, great fun. It was a trip for my four year old son, but I think I enjoyed just as much if not more than he did.
great party and the event was incredible. a little too hard to find some of the things in the pit but not bad overall.
My son and I try to go see the monster jam show whenever it's in the area. We both loved it! My son loved the ironman truck's new look. We had an amazing time!
I took my Nephew. The seats were great. He loves everything about monster trucks. It kinda stunk being in the ravens stadium being a steeler fan hahah. They have a really nice stadium though.
Great show! A lot of action even before the show officially started.
Way more excitement watching the show @ M&T than 1st Mariner. More speed, better jumps & the kids loved the adrenaline when the trucks rolled (but happy no one got injured).
overall the monster trucks were great - several of them had issues after the races so there were a lot of repairs needed for everyone to participate in the free stile. Max-D was the best in the free style
lots of broke down trucks and not from racing , very disappointed ! would reconsider before i made another monster jam ticket purchase.seats were great location but i walked around and there was a great view from almost every seat
Will definitely take my family again within the next year. Kids and wife had a blast
Freestyle was great, racing was short, donuts took out Gravedigger first thing in the show. A lot of filler but I'm sure they needed a good going over between events.
This was hands down a great show! My boys ages 6 & 8 had an awesome time. To avoid the long line of autographs after the show purchase pit passes. These passes allow you to get autographs and pictures before the show and include face painting, bounce houses, hair spray painting, freebies, food, etc.
Monster Jam rocked!!! I take my son every year and he loves it and do I. I can't wait for next year!!
