  • Not enough Rent!

by Ken on 1/22/25Aventura Arts & Cultural Center - AventuraRating: 3 out of 5

ADAM PASCAL and ANTHONY RAPP are 2 very talented performers. The highlights of the performance were when they sung 6 songs from Rent. These 6 songs were fantastic, but they amounted to only about 15 minutes of the almost 1 3/4 hours of the show. When they performed these songs from Rent, the audience came alive. The other 1 1/2 hours were enjoyable, but not what anyone came to hear. The audience responded courteously to the rest of show, but were clearly not as engaged. I would have enjoyed the show much more if they were performing more songs from the Broadway shows that they are known for. I would not recommend this show to anyone else looking to hear the 2 stars from the original Broadway Cast of Rent sing what they are famous for.

Adam and Seth were fun and funny. At first, when asked about his theater training, Adam surprised Seth with his response. From there, it took off. Adam did a little something from all of his shows. A fun night was had by all!

I thought there would be more singing but there was mostly conversation. But with that i found it very enjoyable and interesting. i would have liked a little more singing though as he has a wonderful voice!
