Ace Frehley Live in Concert

Born Paul Daniel "Ace" Frehley in Bronx, New York, Ace Frehley started playing the guitar at 13. He never went to a music school, nor did he ever take a guitar lesson since every member of his family played instruments. He spent the early '70s in a series of local bands. In 1973, he co-founded the American rock band KISS. He departed the band in 1982 and went on to lead a successful solo career. His 1978 solo output -- KISS: Ace Frehley (released as part of the KISS solo albums) -- went platinum. In 1984, he assembled, amongst others, drummer Anton Fig and bassist John Regan to form a group with a name that alternated between Ace Frehley and Frehley's Comet. This group recorded a series of demos throughout 1984 and 1985, and performed their first-ever live show at S.I.R. Studios in New York City on November 30, 1984. In 1987 he released Frehley's Comet and it charted on the Billboard 200. He subsequently returned to KISS in 1996 for a highly successful reunion tour. In 2004, he tied with Paul Stanley at No. 14 on Guitar World's list of the 100 Greatests Heavy Metal Guitarists of All Time. Frehley's influences include artists such as Jimi Hendrix and Albert Lee, among others. In 2014, Frehley, along with the original members of KISS, were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. His 2020 solo album Origins, Vol. 2, charted on the Billboard 200.

Original hometown venue love the outside experience and anytime you can catch an original member of KISS you should go, never thought it would be his second to last show R.I.P Ace

  • No new music

I was very excited to see Ace Frehley. I got to see him in 1975 and 1976 with KISS. I purchased 10,000 Volts and throughly enjoyed it. I skipped the first to acts and got seated when Ace came on. There were some glitches with sound but no problem, it was fixed. I was just really disappointed that he played nothing from 10,000 Volts. Nothing. He played KISS songs and his originals. The band had good vocals and sang the KISS songs. I got to see him smoke his guitar, which was neat. Had great seats. Still disappointed no new music.

Quite Riot and Great White were great! Ace was very disappointing! He did not play his songs instead played KIss songs.

  • Awesome time

The whole lineup was great, and Ace closing the show made it a spectacular event.

  • It was amazing

Always been a kiss fab, and I’ve seen Ace with them. I needed something to do on a Saturday night, and my daughter and I decided to make a 2 hour drive to see Ace, since she never had. It had all the energy, showmanship & excitement you’d expect from a member of KISS. He’s exciting, electrifying & amazing. It is worth every penny.

  • It was a fun time but....

by Race Frehley on 7/15/25Iroquois Amphitheater - LouisvilleRating: 3 out of 5

The show was good. A little disappointed in Ace, didn't want to hear a bunch of kiss covers that he originally did not sing on. Really came to hear his solo stuff not kiss covers. He only played 2 to 3 songs from his solo stuff.

  • Ace, Slaughter and Quiet Riot

by Big Red on 7/15/25Iroquois Amphitheater - LouisvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Great show worth the price of admission. All three bands put on a hell of a show. Rudy Sarzo still thumping that bass with great energy. The rest of the band was great. Slaughter vocals were amazing. Ace did his thing and his band was great.
