Anjunafam is amazing.. the venue and staff can be better

    by Ria on 7/26/23

So many people were disappointed. VIP did not have proper shaded areas. Hassled by security. I feel like the gorge hates ravers. They completely tore apart my friends car because the dog marked the car for explosives. They definitely didn't have anything at all and it was completely unnecessary. Again this year, our gold camp was much smaller than advertised. I tried take more space, but the staff/kid kept making our space smaller. My group had 3 camp spots and it felt like we only had one. The wrist bands made things easier, so I don't understand why we had to use our phone every time. And what was with the concrete blocks being moved in while Sunny Lax was playing? These great artists won't come back to us if they continually get treated with disrespect when they perform. I don't know what entity to blame this all on, but this Weekender was advertised to be bigger and better. Only the artists did that, not the venue. I want to love the gorge because it's a beautiful place, but the live nation staff and security need to get paid better, then they might treat guests with more respect. Those children you hire for cheap is not doing it.

    Way better than previous years

    by Anjunafairy on 7/26/23

The only thing I would say is first day live Nation did not let us in on time about a half hour late. And Alpha 9 was already playing which was really frustrating. But overall this year I felt the kinks were all worked out from previous years. Thank you!

    Everything was perfect, except VIP

    by KathyinMN on 7/26/23

This festival is almost perfect. The people who attend are kind, thoughtful and full of positive vibes. The Gorge Amphitheatre is an amazing venue. I paid extra for VIP this year, thinking the set up would be similar to last year. VIP last year had early entry and a nice shaded deck area for viewing the main concert stage. This year the shaded area was away from the stages, smaller than last year and with less seating. Ice was not provided until Sunday. We did not get early entry for merch, even though we were supposed to. I will attend an ABGTWeekender event again. The actual event is amazing. I will not pay extra for VIP and would highly discourage anyone else for doing so. VIP did not deliver what was promised when they sold the packages.

    Music amazing - heat exhaustion

    by Anne on 7/26/23

The music was amazing as always, the set up and gorge was beautiful. But, this 4 day event should not he held in the middle of July. In 2019 It was in September and it was perfect. It was so miserabley hot we ended arriving a day late and up having to leave a day early becuase even though we were drinking tons of water we couldnt make it into the show tell after dark with out fear of getting sick. Our neighbors did the same. It was just to hot to enjoy anything. The other thing that was really awful was the fact that In the venue you couldn't buy just regular bottle water you had to buy canned water. With that heat being as debilating as it was there needed to be more options then canned water and water stations that were so packed it made it impossible to stay hydrated.

Great show but live was unorganized

    by Jazmine on 7/26/23

We paid $200 for a club add on and nobody at Live Nation knew what that was. It didn’t appear on out tickets. They looked same as GA. Spent lots of time wasted bc everyone turned us away when indeed we did have an upgraded ticket. Such a waste. Won’t be upgrading in the future.

    ABGT weekender

    by MP on 7/26/23

The weekender was amazing! Anjuna family always provides the best experience. Everyone is always so kind and watching out for one another. It the best festival for music and community. Pure happiness and dancing all weekend. The venue alone is beautiful. Only drawback was the poor service and production of the VIP retreat package. Sub par and many people were disappointed. I believe this is no way ABGT’s fault but more the venue/Live Nation dropping the ball. I based my rating off my overall experience that ABGT brings each event.

    1 word. Incredible

    by Adam D. on 7/26/23

Not only is the scenery majestic and gorgeous, but the stage is placed perfectly and the sound was great. It is also spread out enough that people aren't piled on top of each other in the pit area. I wish the camps were just a tad closer, but I actually didn't mind the little walk at the end of the night. Overall, amazing experience. I will definitely be back!

The concert was amazing, extraordinary, beautiful, loved, imaginative, and happiness amplified to the fullest. I had a great experience as a first timer.

    Worse than last year

    by AJ on 7/26/23

We stayed in gold camping. Paid $400 for the camping pass. In the past gold camping was great because it had immediate access to the venue, vendors for novelty and food. This year there was only one novelty vendor. No food. The general store didn’t carry safety essentials like sunscreen and hand sanitizer. I felt the price we paid for the gold camping which was usually prioritized with amenities for those who paid more, but instead the GA and premier camping got the better deal on things. The security was tight to get in yet our camp was still crashed by a guy who was bragging how he was jumping from camp to camp stealing things and bragging how he didn’t have a wristband to get in. The production for the actual show at the main stage was also not as good as years past. The visuals weren’t as great, they didn’t use as many lasers as last year, there wasn’t any steam/fog machines like last year, nor were there any confetti cannons like there was last year. I was pretty disappointed because I know what they’re capable of, and for this being their main event and now deliver to what their capabilities is honestly tragic.

Best venue I’ve ever been to, by a mile

    by Jaxie on 7/26/23

Gorgeous view, killer location, amazing music and the venue was shockingly not too crowded. Short lines for food and everything you could ever want. This event is a MUST

    Exceptional

    by Trevor on 7/26/23

Honestly one of the better festival experiences I’ve ever had. Beautiful venue, wonderful crowd, not overly crowded. Music was great, but the atmosphere was exceptional. I already miss the environment and want to be back as soon as possible!

    BEST VENUE FOR THIS EVENT

    by Roxxxy on 7/26/23

We’ve been going to the gorge since 2010. This was our new #1. Everything went smooth for checkin for Camping and for the festival. No crazy lines, porta potty’s were kept clean and low, lots of food trucks and kiosks with plenty of different options. Music and sound was AMAZING. ABGT, LIVE NATION and The Gorge venue NAILED IT

    So much love!

    by BWalk on 7/26/23

One of the best festivals I have ever been to! So many great memories, new friends, and good vibes! Besides the obvious scorching heat, everything else was absolutely amazing!

ABGT - Awesome [] Gorge - Not so much

    by Nate on 7/26/23

Short and simple, the artists, the music and people were awesome. However, as someone who's been to the Gorge year after year, I've began to realize how little effort they put in to their actual festivals compared to other major players. Limited decor, rehashed stage setups, obvious corner cutting. The Gorge could be amazing, but they really do the bare minimum compared to other festivals and its pretty disappointing.

The camping facilities need major improvement

    by Prav on 7/26/23

We camped in gold camping, the toilets and showers were overflowing. It was $500 for a camping spot, and not at all worth it. The artist performances were 11/10 but other facilities need major improvement.

    Best Event at the Gorge

    by L. S. on 1/10/23

Anjunafamily is the best fan group, respectful towards themselves, each other, and the venue.
