    Misleading

by Coco on 12/13/22CIBC Theatre - Chicago

This show turned out to be entertaining but when we realized it was not a Cirque show we were surprised. It's an areal show but not Cirque. Even the pic used to advertise is very misleading. It was very entertaining for the kids but was disappointing because of the false advertising. It's a cruise ship show.

    Nice Night at the Theatre

by Fun Show on 12/13/22CIBC Theatre - Chicago

I have seen several Cirque shows, this was much smaller scale but very intimate. Christmas part was really just a vehicle to showcase acrobats and performers, but was well done. Tickets were reasonable at around $50 was money well spend, theatre needed more bartenders as half of the people in line at intermission did not get served.

    Entertained the whole show!

by Jme on 12/13/22CIBC Theatre - Chicago

I will start off my saying, when I purchased the tickets I thought this show was part of the cirque de sole family of shows. I looked up the running time and saw the horrible reviews and realized it was not. The more I thought, the more that made sense since surely that caliber of show couldn’t set up shop in an old theatre for just a week or so. With that, I went into this show with an open mind to what I might see and I loved it!!!! The performances were captivating and full of impressive talent. The Christmas music was really fun as well. The acts were varied and kept your attention. I was never bored! My daughters (14 and 16) loved it and so did my mom (I won’t share her age). I would definitely recommend!

Not a cirque de soleil show

by CW on 12/13/22CIBC Theatre - Chicago

Clearly a money grab. Zero production value. Zero set design. Using the word cirque in the title to fool people.

    Great Family Show

by Michigan Mom on 12/12/22CIBC Theatre - Chicago

We were pleasantly surprised at how good this show was. I was nervous bringing three teenagers. But all three said it was the best part of our weekend!

Some funny moments, but not very good

    by W on 12/12/22CIBC Theatre - Chicago

The play was pretty barebones and not very impressive in terms of overall production of the show and "magic tricks" advertised. After going to other Broadway level shows, this show felt overpriced and frankly downright lazy in its production quality. I will say it was a fun time with the family given the silliness of the play, but not for the price

Show was good for the most part…

by CalMar on 12/11/22CIBC Theatre - Chicago

The individual performances were amazing, when we could see them. Whoever designed the lighting obviously didn’t sit upstairs to see how it looked. The neon lights were too bright around the border of the big screen. When regular house lights were used we could see everything and it was great.

    A Mediocre Cirque Christmas

by jkrp on 12/11/22CIBC Theatre - Chicago

Hmmm, well....the show was entertaining at times. The best part of the show was probably Lucy Darling, played by Carisa Hendrix. Her 40's Mid-Atlantic accent combined with quick wit and one-liners was enjoyable. Over all, the show seemed discombobulated. More High School performance than Chicago Theatre. The camera work and lighting were off. The singer was mediocre. The storyline didn't quite work smoothly. And, the performances were somewhat lackluster. The price of tickets was very low which makes me forgive the aforementioned points and able to just enjoy this 70 minute show for what it was.

    Great Fun!

The show was entertaining and well performed. Some dialog was inaudible but the visuals were spectacular!

    Terrific

Very entertaining. Beautiful theatre. We were holding our breath by some of the acts because the performers were so amazing. Incredible talent and show. I highly recommend for all ages.

    Lively, great music and entertaining

by YTM on 12/10/22CIBC Theatre - Chicago

My friend and I enjoyed the show. Not your typical Cirque but enjoyable. The main character (magician) was excellent. Loved all of her change of clothes. The story line was well done and easy to follow. I was happy to see a number of children in attendance. Would definitely recommend

    Disappointed

    by K. R. on 12/10/22CIBC Theatre - Chicago

Most of what was shown in the ads on FB were not part of the performance! I was expecting more acrobatic or gymnastics...instead it was juggling and balancing acts. I felt like i was in between AMERICA'S GOT TALENT and BOZO'S CIRCUS.. and i purchased dress circle tickets. When we got there, they changed our seats to the main floor and we were squeezed in.. All the gees were ridiculous! Do6bled the price of the ticket.. Won't do that again.

    Outstanding and Exciting Show!

by Rice on 12/10/22CIBC Theatre - Chicago

Such a delightful show full of whimsy, child-like wonder and adventure. The ushers were extremely helpful, and answered all questions. I loved all the acts, but I particularly loved the juggler. It is amazing what he did with those pins, along with creative lighting.

    A great multi-talented show...

by Brian on 12/9/22CIBC Theatre - Chicago

The Magical Cirque Christmas was a great show. Between the magician, vocalist and acrobats of every genre, it was an all encompassing evening of talent. The visuals, props and staging was good too. I would definitely recommend this show for the whole family...

    Cute little circus show

    by J. W. on 12/6/22

This show was cute. Talented acrobats and jugglers, magic hostess with the mostest Lucy Darling, and a singer with excellent pipes... Magical Cirque Christmas is a good stage circus, especially for families. I enjoyed it more that I did Soleil's Christmas show. That said, it lacked some energy. Some costumes looked cheap and ill-fitting. Choreography seemed "do what you want." It needed more cohesion and finesse to be truly spectacular. But families really enjoyed it, it's a fun Christmas entertainment, and that's what matters
