    A Stroll Down Memory Lane

by HP123 on 11/16/16Bergen Performing Arts Center - Englewood

This wonderful one man show brought tears to my eyes for its hilarity, its poignancy, and the sweeping memories. The fond memories of visiting the Borscht Belt with my parents, my grandparents, another friends brought tears to my eyes and a lump to my throat. The Red Apple Rest that, as a child, my father told me was owned by his father because he spent so much time there was such an overwhelming moment. I called by father, now in his 80's, to tell him about the show, to reminisce about his time with his father, and our time there as three generations, the things I remembered, and the things my father remembered and got to relive during our phone call.

    Hysterical and Heartwarming

by Blochhead on 11/16/16Bergen Performing Arts Center - Englewood

Jake Ehrenreich is an exceptional talent with a wonderful sense of humor. We laughed till we cried. Tells a life story with wit and humor of his life growing up to first generation Holocaust-generation survivors. But the focus is on the humor and not on the horrors they left behind. He does it with warmth, photos, music, song and Borsht Belt comedy. Couldn't have loved a show more.

    down memory lane

by docalan on 11/16/16Bergen Performing Arts Center - Englewood

very funny and nostalgic look at Brooklyn and the Catskills from 1950's and 60's. As much as I enjoyed the performance, I suspect the appeal is to a limited audience which regretfully is shrinking with the passage of time.

A most entertaining one man show. A one-man band, memories of the Jewish Catskills, great borscht-belt jokes, and some sad family history.

    Multi-talented Jake Ehrenreich...

by TheWanderingJu on 1/27/16Aventura Arts & Cultural Center - Aventura

... not to be missed. Incredible show. Being Jewish is a must; coming from Brooklyn a plus. I am from Ohio, but my husband, and his entire family, was from Brooklyn. I listened to enough stories from the age of 14 to consider myself a part-time Brooklyn resident. Jake's story is poignant, while filled with laughs, songs, relatable experiences, and great talent. This man and his story are gems. Many thanks to my boss for gifting me these tickets. L'Chaim. Judi

    He is so talented

by lavat on 1/27/16Aventura Arts & Cultural Center - Aventura

My sister and I grew up in Brooklyn, came here when I was 12 years old. We lived in a neighborhool where the actor came from, brought back a lot of nice memories of our childhood. To entertain people for 2 hours straight isn't easy, and he did a nice job.

Jake is multitalented - storyteller, singer, dancer, musician. This i was the second time I saw his performance. It gets better and better. Can't wait to see it again, especially since I am also a jew who grew up in Brooklyn.
