A Flock of Seagulls on Tour

Get ready to ride the wave. A Flock of Seagulls are on tour and bringing their new wave hits to the stage with all the energy their fans and audiences remember. The band's peak success was found in the early 1980s and they are returning on tour to reunite with the generation that made them famous. The 2022 and 2023 tour will span the United States, making 10 stops along the way. Fans of the band will be thrilled to hear hits from their youth such as  "I Ran (So Far Away,)"  "Space Age Love Song," "Wishing (If I Had a Photograph of You" and "The More You Live, the More You Love." The tour promises to deliver nostalgia and new memories to all who attend.

A Flock of Seagulls Live in Concert

A Flock of Seagulls formed in 1979 in Liverpool. Lead vocalist and keyboardist Mike Score is also the founder of the band. Other current members include Kevin Rankin on drums, Gord Deppe on guitar and Pando on bass. The group's debut single "(It's Not Me) Talking," set them on the path to success. The band was signed to major label Jive in 1982 and distributed through CBS records, where they released their second single "Telecommunication." This Grammy-winning synthpop group grew to infamy with their offbeat haircuts and unconventional and eclectic music style, an unforgettable combination that has fans still reeling for more. The band attributes a large amount of their early success with the support and playtime they received from MTV.  In 2018, the band's original members released a new album titled Ascension, their first studio recording since 1984. The 12-track album featured the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra.  Following the success of this album, the band released another highly anticipated album -- String Theory, which again featured the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra -- in 2021. The band continues to proudly demonstrate their uniqueness and off-the-cuff style. A Flock of Seagulls is bringing the nostalgia back with their 2022 and 2023 tour across the United States.

    Great Concert but...

    by Sam on 8/2/23

The concert was great but the acoustics were terrible. Not sure why but we could barely understand what the band members were saying.

Big fan, but a little subpar

    by Ellis on 8/1/23

Based upon my area, it is not a hot bed for certain acts. So I travel to see AFOS, this time it was 3 hours. House of Blues is a great venue to see a band like this. Most the time I see AFOS as part of a larger show with multiple acts and they usually are one of the opening bands, 4 songs and they're out. But this was a headlining show and I was excited. Howerver, Mr. Score was a little under the weather and that was just bad timing, but he sounded pretty good. The band was non existant, just there, mimimum interaction. Setlist was great, me being a fan, I know lesser known tracks and even a new one was thrown in. I am bias because I love this band, but a casual goer, may have felt it was a little sub par.

    Best Concert Experience

    by Sam Provance on 8/1/23

This was the best concert I have been to in a long time. I expected a good show, but coupled with Strangelove - The Depeche Mode Experience, this was by far among the BEST. Amazing sound and energy, they took me to another world, just when I needed to be. Thank you to all involved for making this happen.

    Meh

    by Super Freak on 8/1/23

When the FOS came out, he said he was not feeling well - and it showed. His voice was scratchy and the whole band sounded off key. They played new stuff - which had people leaving. I was excited to see them but disappointed. Luckily, the opener, Strange Love, was fantastic!

    Absolutely Fun!

    by Madi on 8/1/23

I saw the show two nights in a row and had a blast! The set was full of their old hits and some new! I will continue to see them as long as they tour.

    Two Thumbs Up

    by Todd on 8/1/23

Both Strangelove and Flock of Seagulls were awesome. Strange love sounded exactly like Depeche Mode. Flock of Seagulls sounded really good and were entertaining. I would see both acts again.

    Great show with mild disappointment

    by Raygunomix on 7/31/23

AFoS put on a solid performance. The sound was there and the presentation was good. Unfortunately I didn't realize that Mike was going to be the only original member of the band to perform. All the other guys were great, but I was hoping to see Paul Reynolds live. I should have looked into this beforehand. Don't get me wrong- the live band nailed their performance and I would have seen the show regardless.

    Warmup band outshines the Seagulls

    by Howienewsome on 7/31/23

I must admit I enjoyed the warmup band better than the Seagulls. A Depeche Mode tribute band was better put together than Flock of Seagulls. I attribute a lot of what I didn’t like about the Seagulls to their sound engineer. The few early sons were completely inaudible because the snare drum was so loud you could hear nothing else. He really flocked up the whole experience for me. By the time they seemed to get things together, my eardrums had had enough and while the late songs were memorable, they were not enjoyable.

    Awesome show

    by NCMom on 7/31/23

Had a great time!! The music was great. The Depeche Mode Experience was fantastic and I would love to see them again. Flock of Seagulls did not disappoint at all. Overall a great blast back into the 80s show.

    Great show!

    by Joe K on 7/31/23

Had a fun time at the Flock of Seagulls show. Opening act was a fun Depeche Mode tribute act, venue was full when they started. Flock of Seagulls were awesome, played all my favorites, great interaction with the crowd, shows like this one are why I love going to the Fillmore

The flack of seagulls for awesome.

    by j. S. on 7/29/23

The flock of seagulls excellent. I would see them over and over again. They played some new songs mixed with some old ones. They still have it going on dance the whole night? Don't miss the show, can't wait to see them. Again Wow

    Awful start

    by Mansfield on 7/26/23

In Atlanta to hear Strangelove warm up. The problem I had with the Flock of Seagulls was the set list was awful. My son likes a few of their songs but the 1st 30 minutes of their show was pretty awful. So much so that we didn't stay for the remaining show which I'm sure featured their hits. It's just the mood they created, like a real 'buzz kill'.

    Great Concert!

    by Bubba on 7/22/23

I have never followed Depeche Mode, but the tribute band played some great tunes. Two I actually have heard before. The band members were fun and the lead singer was great at spinning around! I had seen FOS many many years ago (back in the weird hair days) and they were very entertaining. Bass player was great and chatted with the audience. Lead guitar ripped some awesome riffs. Drummer was great and was also a great showman! Mike sung well and had great keyboards. I knew the songs from the original album which were awesome. Very small crowd and we had front row seats. The band came forward to chat with us after the encore. Loved the rock and roll clothes - where do you buy that stuff?!? Great concert - highly recommended for rockers!

    Rip off

    by KEN on 7/19/23

Went to see A Flock of Seagulls and got a duo. No full band played only about a hour. I paid to see a full band. No mention being a duo. Flase advertising. Bad enough it was going to be 3 groups. And one canceled .

    Hard Rock Disappointment

    by Mick on 7/19/23

Billed as an 80's show with A Flock Of Seagulls, Missing Persons and Stacey Q, the venue was boring, they didn't allow dancing in the aisles and asked people to sit down. But the real problem was that Missing Persons was truly MIA. They didn't show up. Imagine paying $100 to hear four A Flock of Seagulls classics and then have them play filler songs (never heard of new stuff) for the other 45 minutes. A SNOOZE FEST. Hard Rock Casino sucks!

    2/3 of a concert

    by DN on 7/19/23

I understand things happen but I feel like the promoter knew that "Missing Persons"wasn't included in concert as per the advertising. Shows had been cancelled prior. "Stacy Q"was the best! "Flock of Seagulls"were good but only 2 members of the band played....no drummer and bass as performed in recent shows. A little bit of a let down, they also continue to promote Flock with Missing Persons and Stacy Q.
