About

Hard-touring Florida rockers A Day to Remember carved out their niche more than a decade ago by fusing metalcore verses with pop-punk choruses. They toured relentlessly before releasing their debut album, 2005's "And Their Name Was Treason," on a small indie label. On the heels of that album's success, the band landed a deal with a major indie label and released three albums over the next four years. A dispute with the new label led made the band take a more  DIY approach in 2013, self-issuing a new album titled Common Courtesy. A Day to Remember's current lineup -- which has been in place since 2009 -- includes Jeremy McKinnon (vocals), Neil Westfall (rhythm guitar), Josh Woodard (bass), Kevin Skaff (lead guitar), and Alex Shelnutt (drums). The five-piece group is known for pulling out all the stops in concert -- the over-the-top set-design on their 2013 looked like a two-story suburban house -- delivering plenty of pyrotechnics and energy for the fans who buy tickets.

    ADTR was unbelievably good

by MikeWhalen on 11/6/10The Norva - Norfolk

The show was great overall, mainly due to ADTR and The Word Alive. The opening band, Close Your Eyes, was decent but couldn't get the crowd into it. Their stage presence was lacking and they had their people misplaced. The bass player had a great scream and guitar player could sing, but the lead singer was terrible. The Word Alive came on next and tore it up. They got the crowd involved and had everyone going which was awesome considering most people never heard of them. Underoath sucked. Bottom line. They were so bad people went outside to smoke until they finished. Fancy lights doesn't make you a good performer. Lastly, ADTR killed it. They played at least 15 songs and everyone of them had the entire place jumping. The crowd participation was incredible. I have never been to a show where the crowd was this into it. The pits were huge as well. Their sound was great and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. It isn't something I can put into words. I'll see them again next time, no matter the price.

Great Start to their new Tour

The first few bands were a bit of a dissapointment i must admit, but once ADTR showed up the crowd got really into it and it got awesome from there. They played Second Sucks, which is awesome, and it felt so cool knowing we're the first people to ever hear them play that song live! It was also cool knowing the words to all i want and being able to sing along. The moshing was good, even if not everyone was into it. Not quite as good as their show when i saw them at the end of toursick with ABR Silverstein Enter Shikari and Go Radio! but still an amazing time.

ADTR plays well, but the crowed is tamed!

by Garydubs on 10/24/10FREMONT EAST ENTERTAINMENT DISTRICT - Las Vegas

All the bands put on a good performance, and the sound quality was above par. However, security was barring any swinging of arms, or moving of legs, so if you like to push people you could do that, but no dancing was allowed. ADTR only had 2 shirts for merch... they performed well compared to past performances. There was lots of weed, etoh, and tobacco for a event sponsored by an anti-smoking cause. Tons of scene sl*ts too. Average age of attendee I'd estimate at 15. Pierce the Veil was pretty whiney and came of like Atreyu wannabes. I liked lower def, chug chug chug.
