    Excellent performance

    by Spiderwoman90 on 12/1/15Ford's Theatre - Washington

The sound in Ford's theater is phenomenal! It enhanced all of the performances and the music. The best Scrooge I've seen! The kids were great! The boy who played Tiny Tim seemed to be plucked out of Dickensian England! Bravo to the whole cast & crew for creating such a memorable evening!

    It started my Christmas

by Murphlin on 12/1/15Ford's Theatre - Washington

Everything was of the highest standard. My wife and I really enjoyed the show and the set and costumes were really good. Enjoyed the music and really got us in the Christmas spirit. The theatre is excellent and knowing the history of the place made it even more special. Enjoyed the visit to the theatre museum before the show. Would certainly recommend to anyone, you will not be disappointed.

    Don't Miss this Show!

by Jonebb on 12/1/15Ford's Theatre - Washington

I saw this show at Ford's Theatre over thirty years ago and was lukewarm on it. When my family wanted to see this production, I reluctantly got tickets. What a wonderful production! Wonderful performances and fantastic stage effects made it a pleasant surprise. The music and the singing was outstanding. The Ford's Theatre venue was a cozy and intimate and beautiful. We went with my mother-in-law who was in a wheelchair and the accomodations could not have been better. Ushers personally escorted us to our seats. We went to the matinee and would have liked to go to the museum afterwards but it was closed, so make enough time before the show to go.

    A Christmas Carol was wonderful!

    by DBryant26 on 12/1/15Ford's Theatre - Washington

This was our first time to Ford's theater, and we loved it! The facility was lovely, small, and intimate. My son uses a wheelchair, so we sat in the back of the orchestra area, but we could see very well. The production was very impressive, with incredible staging and talented actors and actresses. It was a wonderful time for our family, and I highly recommend it.

    A Christmas Carol

    by 10snut on 11/30/15Ford's Theatre - Washington

Really enjoyed the show - it's a bit scary for young children because of several large bangs and blackouts, but overall it's great family Christmas play! Loved all the traditional Christmas carols sung - and there were many - and all the children participants in the show. Came out feeling really excited for the Christmas season!

    Incredible!!! Must See!

by Anonymous on 11/30/15Ford's Theatre - Washington

Absolutely astounding! I plan to go see this show every year as a tradition for the holidays. The actors/actresses were captivating and the effects (music./sound and lighting) were just jaw dropping. I was lost in time and in the story of the play. Great family show! but not for any child under 8 due to some scary parts for ghost of future. I wont lie...I was so captivated by the show, I cried at least twice

    Outstanding Performance

    by tennessee50plus on 11/29/15Ford's Theatre - Washington

Took my family and grandchildren to see this show. It was my first time to go to the Ford theatre so I wasn't sure what to expect. I knew the theatre was small and thought it might be good but not outstanding. I was so wrong. I have seen plays on Broadway, in London and Toronto and this performance was equal to all I have seen. The actors all, tight down to the young children, gave a flawless, funny and entertaining performance. It was a wonderful mixture of the story telling of A Christmas Carol mixed with great Christmas songs. Outstanding.

    Xmas cheers

by GandKC on 11/28/15Ford's Theatre - Washington

Superb show Actors were exceptional A little humorous An actress was obviously having a problem with an actor, which was evident at the end. It was odd to see as a spectator, but completely unprofessional by the actress. She should be fired. The children were great. Really portrayed a Xmas cheer well.

A Christmas Carol at Ford's Theater

    by KHH1234 on 11/27/15Ford's Theatre - Washington

My mother and I met in DC (from Florida and Illinois) in order to see a Christmas Carol at Ford's Theater. I have always wanted to see a show in that theater and since A Christmas Carol is one of my all-time favorite stories it was the perfect choice. It is a small theater so every seat is a good one, but I was especially fortunate to have front row seats. The set was absolutely beautiful. The music was wonderful! I was blown away by the talent the kids displayed! WOW! The entire show was phenomenal. I loved every moment of it. Going to see this show at this theater will likely be a tradition for me and my mom. It was well worth the trip to get there!

by Charlstonian on 11/25/15Ford's Theatre - Washington

We have seen A Christmas Carol so many times, that we really were excited only because it was at the Ford's Theatre. But this version of A Christmas Carol was so refreshing! The talent surpassed any local theater cast we've ever seen. Bravo!
