THE UNTOLD TRUE STORY OF A BROOKLYN KID WHO BECAME A CHART-BUSTING, SHOW-STOPPING, AWARD-WINNING AMERICAN ICON

Created in collaboration with Neil Diamond himself, A BEAUTIFUL NOISE is the uplifting true story of how a kid from Brooklyn became a chart-busting, show-stopping American rock icon. With 120 million albums sold, a catalogue of classics like "America," "Forever in Blue Jeans," and "Sweet Caroline," an induction into the Songwriters and Rock and Roll Halls of Fame, a Grammy® Lifetime Achievement Award, and sold-out concerts around the world that made him bigger than Elvis, Neil Diamond's story was made to shine on Broadway-and head out on the road across America.

Like Jersey Boys and Beautiful: The Carole King Musical before it, A BEAUTIFUL NOISE THE NEIL DIAMOND MUSICAL is an inspiring, exhilarating, energy-filled musical memoir, that tells the untold true story of how America's greatest hitmaker became a star, set to the songs that defined his career.

  • I loved it!

by DC Theater Goer on 12/9/24The National Theatre - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

This is a great show. I didn't really know Neil Diamond's music but loved learning his story using the lyrics of his songs; not shying away from his weaknesses and failures. The premise of current Neil talking through his lyrics to his therapist, while past Neil sings in big production numbers was so effective and fun. 5 Stars. Highly recommend.

  • Best DC show

The show was fantastic. The lead was a Diamond clone. The cast singing and dancing was superb. The only downer was that it had to end.

We attended the Thursday night showing and our seating was left side Orchestra . The entire performance was enlightening , entertaining and truly enjoyable event. From the acting to the music and the powerful voices of the Neil Diamond performers, we were thrilled. The storyline was clear and moving and matching of Neil’s songs to the story timeline were perfect. We loved it !

Singing did not meet my expectations. Songs were nice to hear, there were a lot of them. However singing lacked energy, and lead did not seem to be in Diamonds key.

Music is terrific. Performers are definitely talented. Singing along with Sweet Caroline, it's such a treasure. It was interesting to piece the songs to Neil Diamond's life. I've always enjoyed his music and some of those songs bring back such great memories and times in my life. I will never forget riding in the car with my mom and the song Forever in Blue Jeans was on the radio and I told my mom - I was going to wear blue jeans forever and it was going to be OK.

The music was terrific. The lead’s voice was so good. Better than Neil Diamond’s! Story was thin, but the music and singing, the best. Very well done.

  • Good not great

by JohnG on 12/7/24The National Theatre - WashingtonRating: 3 out of 5

In my opinion, "It's a Beautiful Noise"was over produced diminishing Neil Diamond music. In no Diamond concert did you ever witness a couple dozen dancers cavorting in all manner and direction all around the stage. It takes away from the simplicity of the Diamond sound, and purity of presentation which is a simple reasonable sized band and usually three backup singers. As a decades long Diamond fan I was happy we went but would not go again.
