About

After releasing a series of acclaimed mixtapes over the previous three years, rapper A$AP Rocky dropped his first official album in 2013, titled Long.Live.A$AP. His already-primed fanbase quickly took to the album, which debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 chart. Fans also snapped up tickets as he hit the tour trail hard to support the set, performing concerts at theaters and large clubs with members of his A$AP Mob collective, a group of rappers, producers and others who joined forces in 2007 due to their shared sense of music, art and style. Born Rakim Mayers (named after the Eric B. & Rakim rapper) in Harlem, A$AP Rocky's smooth, slow flow is more heavily influenced by Southern rappers like UGK and Devin the Dude than by New York acts. He began rapping at age eight, and in his late teens turned to the skill as a way out of the lifestyle that had led to the murder of his brother and landed his father in prison. Now that he's a star in his own right and the ringleader of one of hip-hop's most influential collectives, it appears he's found the way.

    Simply amazing

by Jasmine on 2/8/19Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Portland

It was an amazing concert. I got hit multiple times but it’s ok because it was worth it but I’m thankful for the security that was there to remove people who could not quite handle them selves. Overall amazing concert I LOVE RAKIM and I hope he comes back soon because I will definitely be attending!!

    A$AP KILLED IT

by kristen on 2/7/19The Forum - Inglewood

High energy, best venue, SURPRISE GUESTS. This concert was one of the best shows I've ever attended. A$AP brought out Drake & Tyga!! We were on the floor and I swear I've never had so much fun. A$AP opened up the pit and we took full advantage. I can't wait until he comes back to town. TAKE MY MONEYYY.

    Best Concert In Years

by Dannielle Wallace on 2/7/19The Forum - Inglewood

My friend and I bought our tickets online during the pre-sale with a code he tweeted and got really great seats for a ridiculously low price it felt wrong lol. Row 6 seat 11 right at the end of the aisle , with a dope view of the stages, GA and mosh pit. However a client of hers wanted to go and got hooked up with tickets/bands at will call so we got those as well. Two of us sat in the seats I bought because the girl next to me wanted to go to the mosh pit so she let my friend have her seat, she was so cool so we sat together even though we were two rows away on the end otherwise. The client went straight to the mosh pit where she ended up having an amazing time even as a petite female a friend later joined her. Rocky made sure to tell people not to drop the females crowd surfing later in the show when he came out which was cool. The opening acts came on people seemed a little restless and anxious immediately though so they started chanting for Rocky and when he came out it was crazy energy and the whole place erupted. He came out with a mask on and performed a few high energy songs, played on some drums which was cool as hell and it looked really futuristic almost like the world had an industrial look to it. The screens had the best visuals i've seen at a concert so it was kind of distracting because you wanted to watch him perform AND see what was on the middle big screen as well. The side screens were cool close ups when he spoke or when he was working the big back stage and not the main happy face stage. The back stage had suspended cars that were Mercedes Benz and he performed on them later and in one as well. I think one of the biggest moments of the night next to his surprise guests was when he snatched off the mask, it felt like the roar through the ground you feel and hear at a football game it was insane. Every performance was great and flowed and there were beautiful visual moments between him and the screens and all of us with our lights during "Purity" performance. Also when he did L$D you would've thought he did something shocking because the reaction was priceless, you could definitely hear the waves of people excited. It was the fan favorite reaction even when i reviewed my footage as soon as the guitar strum hit that is next to when he did some of his earlier songs people got even more pumped. Drake and Tyga were on point and perfect surprises they both killed their performances and Rocky ended it on a high note with "Live Long" and bowed out and played "Sundress" as the people were standing around in awe. Seriously. A great crowd came out for L.A. and everyone vibed and got along I talked to so many strangers and everyone was just cool. Once it was over I was able to go to the forum club backstage for a bit, I missed out on the meet and greet because I didn't realize I had access but there's always another time I suppose. I also didn't get to get any merch because I didn't want to miss the show and by the time i came out they were packing up. The hoodies and testing couple were seen worn the most for those that got them during the show. Nonetheless my favorite concert in years and I'm looking forward to his new music and the next one. I highly recommend any A$AP Rocky show if you can get your hands on some tickets - do it.

Loved the energy that A$AP brought to the Bay! I just wish Bill Graham organized merch better. Wasn’t able to locate the merch until the very end when everyone was leaving, and it was super crowded. Please please spread out the merch next time.

Overall one the the best day of my life

by Mimi on 2/5/19Bill Graham Civic Auditorium - San Francisco

The line outside was a little hectic, the street wasn’t blocked off until the line started getting crazy so it was dangerous on the street at first for the people directing the traffic and the fans

Compared to other artists, Rocky is able to actually connect with the audience and talk to us instead of doing his own thing the whole time which is very cool
