About

Rapper A$AP Ferg, often seen in concert wearing his signature grill, has come a long way since his late-‘80s youth in the Hamilton Heights area of Harlem. Born Darold Ferguson, Jr., the ticket-selling hip-hop performer acknowledged “success is the only option” for him in a March 2013 interview with Complex magazine. Before becoming part of the A$AP Mob hip-hip collective in 2007, Ferguson followed in the fashion footsteps of his screenprinting father. He developed his own clothing line, Devoni Clothing, designing and distributing high-end belts purchased by tour superstars like Chris Brown and Swizz Beatz.

But his love for music took over just a couple years later, with A$AP Mob—an acronym for “Always Strive and Prosper”—releasing their first full-length mixtape, “Lords Never Worry,” in 2012. A$AP Ferg signed his own record deal in early 2013 with Polo Grounds and RCA and unleashed his solo debut, “Trap Lord,” in August of that year. His gritty, explicit rap style is clearly expressed in tracks like “Work” and “Shabba,” from the album, which features guest appearances by A$AP Rocky, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony and Waka Flocka Flame, among others.

    Horrible

by dntmatt on 12/5/16Upstate Concert Hall - Clifton Park

I traveled four hours just to see this show. The venue was horrible and featured security guards who confiscated my pen and my labeled allergy pills without explanation? The person I paid for a meet and greet with did not even show up! I did not recieve my free t shirt as promised either and this was only announced right before he was supposed to play. What does this mean? I wasted a day and traveled 8 hours for no reason.

by Gollum22 on 11/30/16The Phoenix Concert Theatre - Toronto

The venue is legit one of the worst venues in Toronto way to small and security is the worst at doing there job but asap ferg made that venue bounce up and down for 2 hours straight he always has straight bangers and can make any venue a good one , one hell of a show and can't wait till he comes back to Toronto !!! He even brought out ASAP Yams mom

This was by far one of the best concerts I've been to, and I had the floor seats on the St. Pablo tour.... was crazy and well worth the money.

    Tory Lanez is a rockstar!

by sallyjanelives on 6/27/16House of Blues Boston - Boston

I am a Tory fan which is why I purchased the tickets. I thought Asap Ferg and Tory would have separate sets.. But they didn't, Tory did 2 songs, he did 2 songs, Tory did 3 songs, Asap did 3 songs. That sucked to me. I'm not an Asap fan his lyrics are trash and really isn't ever saying anything.... Tory rocked it like he always does, playing spiderman all over the place but his performance is always on point! I can't wait for him to come back, I never miss a show, I just hope he comes alone or at least with an artist that has something to say.

    This concert was lit

by BreonaH on 6/24/16STAGE AE - Pittsburgh

This concert was so LIT!!!! The performers did great an the show was very well played out. The interaction with the crowd was amazing. Only down part is the show started at 7 but they didn't come on stage until like 930/10! It was absolutely ridiculous! But other than that they had it mad live in there. The house was literally jumping.

    Waiting...

    by Ble6 on 6/24/16STAGE AE - Pittsburgh

I've been to many concerts in my day and I've never waited so lon for an artist to come out. The concert was supposed to start at 7, doors didn't open until 7 so that was an indicator from the beginning that the concert was going to run behind. It took 30-45 minutes for the dj to come out, another 20 for the first act. It took another 30 minutes for ASAP and Tory to come out and they only performed for about an hour total. Instead of them each doing a set, they switched off after about 2 songs which broke of the flow. It was like watching a tennis tournament. The sound was way too loud for a small indoor venue. The only saving grace was that the music was good and the crowd was amped. However, I wouldn't go to another concert with them again. I didn't even wait that long to see Nicki or Wiz. Not cool

Tory Lanez & A$AP Ferg was hype but short

by Tayejannn on 6/21/16EXPRESS LIVE! (formerly LC Pavilion) - Columbus

Concert only lasted a hour and a half which was little disappointing seeing how there were 3 artist performing that have tons of good music. Overall concert was lit. nice venue, amazing sound, no lip singing and tons of crowd surfing. I was happy to see that Tory Lanez can really sing, great show ! Left me wanting more.

    Disappointed

by Quin105 on 6/21/16EXPRESS LIVE! (formerly LC Pavilion) - Columbus

The concert was very disappointing. As a fan of asap ferg I was really shocked by his poor performance. The concert was also delayed for a long time and the opening acts were unable to perform. Torey Lanez was good. He's the only reason the concert wasn't a total flop and I gave it a 2.

Two thumbs down for A$AP Ferg

by themcsays on 1/20/15The Electric Factory - Philadelphia

I have been to over 200 shows and this was by far, the worst show I have ever been to. A$AP Ferg didn't even come on stage until well after 11 pm, I couldn't understand a single word he was saying, and there were about 50 unnecessary people standing around on stage. I was very disappointed about the $50 I wasted on this show.

One of the worst shows I've ever seen

by Anonymous on 1/18/15Electric Factory - Philadelphia

I saw Ferg in Philadelphia and to date it was the worst show I've ever seen. He barely even rapped, and played approximately one fifth of each song. I was a huge fan prior to this show, but once he was on stage he yelled "hands up" and tried to incite the crowd like a carnival barker 90 percent of the time instead of rapping. Then he even went so far as to spend about 15-20 minutes having local rappers come up and rap over Shabba, which is not what I paid to see, even though it was slightly entertaining. Everything he did seemed like an attempt to not have to rap, which ranged from having the crowd sing every other verse to having his no-name crony rapping in his place. In any case I will never be going to one of his shows again.

    A$AP Ferg could be better....

    by Saammyy777 on 1/18/15Sound Academy - Toronto

The show was scheduled for 9 started at 10:30 when they brought out the first artist it was good until drunks started coming to the front and jumping around shoving people to the floor. Asap came out maybe at 11-11:30 ish was good but didn't perform old songs like I hoped didn't apologize for being almost 2 hours late. Me and my friends left our houses from 7 only to be standing waiting for someone who tweeted they were at the keg at the show start time. Was unprofessional annoying but overall great artists and no apology.
