    Must-See

by John on 11/19/22The Lyric Theatre - Birmingham

This was a truly unique experience. It's hard to describe seamless blending of classical, opera, blues, gospel, rock, and Aretha, but this show did just that. Absolutely incredible performance by the boys from Vox Fortura and all their featured musicians and guests. Do yourself a favor and look for upcoming Vox Fortura dates. Truly enriching and unique experience. The Lyric was the perfect stage for it!

    Culture Heritage

by Tiger on 11/11/22The Lyric Theatre - Birmingham

It was a Cultural experience for me and because I have known Elias since a child, there were moments that I could not stop crying. I am so proud of all of you.

    Unfortunate

by Nick on 11/10/22The Lyric Theatre - Birmingham

Throughout the concert, the volume of the band was too, too loud overpowering the vocals. There was often an overpowering bass reverberation that was disturbing. When there was no band playing or the band was very soft, it was very much better. The female singers were excellent, and the activity with the long white, flowing outfit was beautiful and captivating. As a result of the loud band, it was not a concert I enjoyed, and I was glad when it ended.

    Vox Futura

by Bert on 11/9/22The Lyric Theatre - Birmingham

Interesting. Entertaining. I was expecting “classic “ soul but received what they named “classical “ soul. Emphasis was on classical much more than soul music. Received a lesson in history of slavery which seemed superfluous for our reason to be there.

"Scratch" should be used sound system

by Herb on 11/9/22The Lyric Theatre - Birmingham

The sound system was providing unintelligible static throughout the concert that was distracting for a concert with lots of talking and introductions. Otherwise, the singers, the soloists and the band were excellent. The audience was enthusiastic and showed their approval of the show consistently. The premium-priced box seats are not noted as handicapped inaccessible in the sales brochure; their sightlines are only good for the inside the ring seats. The usher thankfully provided carrying and storage of a walker.
