About

This Wild Life in Concert

Never underestimate the waves two guys with guitars can make. Though This Wild Life originally formed in 2010 as a pop-punk group, singer-songwriters Kevin Jordan and Anthony Del Grosso quickly realized they worked better as an acoustic duo, so they scaled it back and cut away from the rest of their colleagues. Coming out of Long Beach, California, the passionate rockers would all but blow up in 2013, when they uploaded a cover of metalcore heroes Bring Me the Horizon's "Sleepwalking" to their YouTube channel; Bring Me the Horizon themselves liked the cover, and the rest was history. This Wild Life signed to Epitaph Records (the same label that gave BMTH their start in the U.S.) shortly after, releasing the acclaimed ‘Clouded,' which was full of intimate and vibrant tunes reminiscent of Death Cab for Cutie's and American Football's quieter songs. Produced by Copeland's Aaron Marsh—a significant boon for the band's cred—'Clouded' led to the band being featured on the Alternative Press' "100 Bands You Need to Know in 2014" list. In 2018, This Wild Life released their buoyant third LP, ‘Petaluma,' a solid step forward for the group toward their emo ideals.

This Wild Life's journey has been laden with numerous great performances and impressive tours—their live shows wrangle their music's essence into a perfect (and perfectly intimate) experience. Right off the bat, they were booked at Vans Warped Tour 2011, going on to perform at the event numerous times thereafter. In 2014, they headlined their first U.K. tour, while later that year they gave performances in Australia for the first time, supporting Jonny Craig. Additionally, they gained some worldwide exposure with their arresting performance of "Roots and Branches" on Season 10 of "The Bachelorette." In 2015 and 2018, they toured with rock group Mayday Parade.

by MJ on 1/14/20The Observatory - Santa Ana

Their best show yet, they really outdid themselves and I’ve never been more proud to be part of this family. I will love and support This Wild Life until the day I die. 🖤

    Always a good time!

by A.Jones on 1/14/20The Observatory - Santa Ana

The observatory is one of my favorite venues in Orange County. I have seen This Wild Life a few times now. They are one of the best, most grateful bands you can ever see. They always seem so excited to be there, like it is something they really want to be doing and not just a job. I was lucky to be at their show when they opened for Dashboard and It was so great to be back there again this weekend!

    Super Cute

    by M. G. on 5/8/19Teragram Ballroom - Los Angeles

Yes to sunflowers and everything about this band. Went to see one of the openers, was happy to enjoy the entire lineup. Boyfriend also found a new fav band in This Wild Life so I guess that's all we're listening to for the next month.

    Best show ever!

by Tori on 5/8/19Teragram Ballroom - Los Angeles

This was by far one of the best shows I've ever been to. The venue was great, big enough, but also small enough you could still enjoy the band's from the back. This wild life was amazing!

Never Give out Extra Tickets at the Moose Again

by The Graduate Student on 4/28/19Smiling Moose - Pittsburgh

The show was really great and all the acts were fantastic. However, the Smiling Moose isn't a venue for giving away extra tickets. There was literally no room for movement. My friend and I left early because we were so pushed together toward other people, we couldn't breathe. But overall, it was a good show and the openers were great! No more extra tickets at the Moose! :)

    Not the best venue choice

by Em on 4/28/19Smiling Moose - Pittsburgh

I’ve seen TWL 6 times. I love watching them, and they never put on a bad show. But this time, they definitely chose a bad venue. Last time they were here they were in a venue with a capacity THREE times what this one was. They sold out this smaller venue AND THEN added extra tickets. We couldn’t even move in the crowd & my arms were locked at my side the entire time. I wish I could’ve enjoyed their show, but everyone was complaining and sweaty and crammed together.

    This wild life was amazing

by Alyssa1213 on 8/8/17Rocks Lounge at Red Rock Casino Resort & Spa - Las Vegas

Just a great concert. So intimate with the crowd. They are so funny during their performances. Small venues which is nice because it's not over powering. Definitely my favorite concert I have ever been to.
