by waltc21 on 12/2/14The Norva - NorfolkThe Last Bison sounded better than ever at the NorVa.They played mostly from their new album VA. First band tried but had both sound and production issues. Second Band was good but needs to review their material. Seems like they have a lot of talent but have not yet got the sound that would take most advantage of their gift.

Rating: 5 out of 5by Anonymous on 12/2/14The Norva - Norfolk The Last Bison puts on an unforgettable show, regardless of venue or crowd size. The diversity of their performance style and energy contributes to a harmonious performance by the band - there's a lot to watch without being overwhelming or obnoxiously theatrical. They clearly love what they do, and draws the crowd into loving it to. Their musicianship is excellent; very impressive to witness. This is a band that knows how to perform.

Rating: 5 out of 5 The last bison should be way bigger than they are!
by Allie320 on 10/20/14Mercury Lounge - New YorkI wish the event was more specific about the show time because the main act didn't go on until 11 and I was there early for 9:30 show (but it meant doors, and didn't mention an opener). Despite this, I was glad to have seen the opener because she was great and not the usual type of music I am into. Now I have some of her songs in my playlist on spotify. In regards to the last bison, I came there for them. I discovered them randomly one day and have never been disappointed and only hoped they would come to New York. Other than the fact that they did not sing one of my favorites on this stop on their tour, being in the audience was surreal. They really are such a talented group and seem so friendly and fun. I also love their lean towards a more rock sound, embracing ben's voice to the fullest without losing the integrity of what made them such a unique band in the first place. I would have gone to their concert the next day if they made another stop in New York.
Rating: 5 out of 5 Fantastic show!
by Haskid on 12/3/13The Norva - NorfolkThe opening act was great, the venue was enjoyable, and the Last Bison was fantastic as always. They played a large setlist that included a couple Christmas songs and even 6 brand new songs. They got the crowd involved in singing and dancing, and the atmosphere was great. Only complaint was whoever was in charge of the lighting kept turning on the lights over the crowd, which just seemed awkward. Overall an awesome show, would definitely recommend seeing the Last Bison!
