Love the atmosphere and old-time feel of baseball with a twist..
Cheney Field was an excellent and the Tacoma Rainer's played and excellent game.
Really great venue for a ball game. Every seat is a great seat - small and intimate. The venue also does a really good job of keeping the audience engaged. The only issue we had was Parking! Making a left turn into the lot was a nightmare and we probably waited no less than 15 lights to get through as the signal was not set up properly to handle the traffic. When we finally turned into the lot, they were putting out a sign stating the lot was full. The staff were NOT helpful on directing us where else we could park. We parked across the street and walked over. Passing through the parking lot there were several random open spots. Go early to get into the parking lot and avoid the traffic!!!
The Seats where good the team store prices are fair. My only complaint is that The Grounders ( Garlic Fries) this time where not warm and they were stale
Game was fun. We got good seats. Food too expensive from my perspective. Friday night fireworks an added bonus!
Best family, professional baseball experience around! Not a single bad seat in the house. Great family, welcoming environment.
Game was great, stadium seats were clean, entertainment was cool, and fireworks were awesome!
We had the best time as a large family reunion at the fireworks baseball game. We were entertained the entire game, they put on a great show. The stadium is beautiful and easy to get around. Great food options. We will be back again!!!
First time watching the Tacoma Rainers play. The game was great, food okay, but my family and I were really bummed about the fireworks! They were set off way to early. It wasn’t even dark so we could barely see the colors in the sky. Wish they would have waited another 30 mins.
Never a dull moment. It's more than baseball. It's contests, music, singing, dancing, humor, fun & games. The food is great and everyone will have a good time for sure!
The game was fun, and involving of the crowd, my daughter and i thoroughly enjoyed outselves.. however, the communcation wasnt clear: 1. Due to the fireworks we would be locked in the stadium 2. When the firework were, how long we would be locked in 3. Ultimatly we were going to walk all the way around but the fireworks started early?? Someone said they wouldnt be until 10. Ultimatly we watched them at a locked gate but better communcation would have been ideal
Excellent value for the dollar. Lots of fun. Leaving the parking lot was a little difficult.
Good seats. Great food and the attenents were very helpful!
My wife and I took our dad's to a game with the "bring a herd" promotion and were blown away with how much better and cheaper the experience was compared to games in Seattle. We'll definitely be back by ourselves!
Since the away team traveling here in mild rain, was unable to make it to the stadium on time, the first pitch was pushed back 2 hours to 9 pm. My 8 year old was excited to go to the game but due to this change in the event time, we were unable to attend due to how late the game would have started. Bottom line, that’s two years in a row that I’ve purchased tickets and planned a game day with my family, only for it to not come to fruition. Last year, the game was rescheduled due to rain and my family and I weren’t available for any of the make up dates. Very disappointed.
Seemed like there were alot of people crammed into some rows while other areas across the aisle lay empty for the entire game.....I would have purchased seats in a different section but they were marked off as not available at the time of purchase. After a few innings of being crammed next to screaming children and dudes man spreading we grabbed our stuff and went to an area on the opposite side of the stadium where there was plenty of vacant seats. In the future I'd prefer if I could select the actual seats from a map that showed you this detail.....would be helpful to know what you were getting into
My children and I have attended Rainiers games for the past ten years (probably more). Post COVID everything is different, but the entertainment and ‘perks’ once experienced are gone. There used to be a fun ‘master of ceremonies’ with between inning games, etc. Now it’s mostly an announcer and some girls who are dancing and barely know the moves. We used to get a hot dog, drink and chips with tickets, I don’t see that option anywhere. There used to be more giveaways and audience interaction, it’s few and far btw now. Disappointed.
The games was great, wish we would of won though. The concession stands had great food but it was so over priced. No one should spend $16 for two small drinks, $60 on 6 (individual which was divided by two)chicken tenders, (2)small fry and a naked hotdog. The dipping dots where $7 per serving which is absolutely ridiculous. Two cups of coffee was $20. Probably will not go to the next game just because it is so expensive just trying to keep the family hydrated. Wild!
After torrential rain Saturday night, we took off for Cheney Stadium with the hope that the game wouldn't be postponed (as it had been on Saturday). The weather cooperated and it was partly sunny throughout the game. Kelenic was entertaining as was Ponce de Leon who unfortunately wasn't real hot this time. A good afternoon for baseball.
We really enjoyed watching the Rainiers play even though they didn't win. How could you not enjoyed it when there is sunshine and baseball??
