About

The Black Crowes are leaving the bullshit in the past. 15 years after their last album of original music, the Robinson Brothers present Happiness Bastards - their 10th studio album. Some may say the project has been several tumultuous years in the making, but we argue it's arriving at just the right time. Call it brotherly love or music destiny that brought them back together, the highly anticipated record consecrating the reunion of this legendary band just may be the thing that saves rock & roll. In a time where the art form is buried beneath the corporate sheen of its successors, The Black Crowes are biting back with the angst of words left unsaid penned on paper and electrified by guitar strings, revealing stripped, bare-boned rock & roll. No gloss, no glitter, just rhythm and blues at it's very best - gritty, loud, and in your face.

Since The Black Crowes reunited in 2019, they've made a triumphant return to form with over 150 shows spanning 20 countries worldwide, celebrating the 30th anniversary of Shake Your Money Maker, the album that put them on the map. Upon their return from the road, they knew they needed something new to show for their lost time. The Robinson Brothers and longtime bassist Sven Pipien headed to the studio with producer Jay Joyce in early 2023 and the experiences of years past transcribed themself through the music as the band found their way back to their roots. And it's finally here - Happiness Bastards is out March 15, 2024.

Great performance but short on time

by Johnny G on 4/30/24Radio City Music Hall - New York

Seen the Black Crowes many times since the early 90s The boys don’t disappoint Musically but short on performance time only thing that I was disappointed about 90 minutes, including encore at least give us two hours for the price of tickets these days especially in NYC. But still would see them again Great music always

    $500 for 90 minutes

by Andre B. on 4/30/24Radio City Music Hall - New York

$500 for 90 minutes says it all, it's sad to see this once great band get sucked in by the very same corporate greed they rallied against. At least Springsteen has the decency to give you a 3 hour show for his exurbanite pricing. This may well be the last time I see TBC, that being said they did look and sound great.

    Very short Black Crowes show

by Jim on 4/30/24Radio City Music Hall - New York

This show was terribly rushed and short only 1 hr 25 min. For the expensive price i felt like I was fleeced bad. Back not very ling ago when they changed 40 bucks would not complain as much. They barely seemed interested in anything but getting out of dodge. Considering this was NYC radio city big stage, they should be ashamed. They closed on an obscure Reed song snd ran off stage. I am done with black crowes eventhough have seen 20 shows over as many years.

    Rock and Roll is Dead?

by Too short on 4/30/24Radio City Music Hall - New York

How can a rock show end at 10:30? There were so many more songs they could have played… what a shame…

    Outstanding

    by RW99 on 4/30/24

The Crowes sounded energized, tight and driven at Radio City Music Hall. They played a well-paced selection of hits and new material along with a cover (White Light, White Heat) and a deep cut (I Ain't Hiding) perfectly suited to New York. The set only lasted 90 minutes, which is on the short side for these guys, but they made every song count. The newer members of the group are gelling with Chris, Rich and Sven, and there was zero evidence of backing tracks on display - just a real band playing honest rock n' roll. They don't charge a thousand bucks for tickets, either!

    Crowes still got it

by AM on 4/30/24Radio City Music Hall - New York

Unbelievable show. The Crowes were at the top of their game and they couldn’t have picked a better venue. The atmosphere was electric. Seeing Things brought tears to my eyes. Chris Robinson is something special man.

The Robinson Brothers are Back and Smiling

by BCLover on 4/30/24Radio City Music Hall - New York

The venue was the best I have seen the the Crowes in. Guess you can't go wrong with Radio City Music Hall! The Crowes put on yet another amazing show. We caught about 6 shows when they were celebrating their 30th anniversary of Shake Your Money Maker and they sounded even better than those shows which were the best we have seen in a very long time. The Crowes are back and showing some and reminding others what a good guitar driven rock band they are. Thank goodness there are still a few bands that know how to make great Rock & Roll. Their warm-up band was also worth mentioning Larkin Poe knows their way around a guitar as well. Great experience. Hope we can see them at RCMH again soon.

    Sound

by Joe on 4/30/24Radio City Music Hall - New York

unfortunately with our front row seats we were in front of Rich Robinson’s monitor. We simply could not hear anything but then guitar. no vocals or much of anything else.

    Bad place for loud bands

    by Badboyt00 on 4/27/24Massey Hall - Toronto

If you want a tite seat no leg room go there, the warm up band totally sucked, however the Crowes were not bad but the venue is too small for the sound of the band,we will never go back to Massey again for a cocert

Not much bang for the buck

by JD on 4/25/24Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom - Chicago

The venue is always fun, a lot of energy and overall a good crowd. We always expect people to get tossed, and it happened as predicted. Both bands sounded great. The main problem here is when you consider spending nearly $100 for a ticket, plus almost $40 for two beverages, plus outrageously priced merch - only get about 2 hours of TOTAL live music - that’s just not a great value. Opening band played just over half hour and Crowes played not even an hour and a half. If that’s going to be the case then another bigger band needs to be on the bill and play longer.

    Black Crowes Happiness Bastards

by Seattleboots on 4/24/24McCaw Hall - Seattle

This show was great! Great songs played well, though not much energy except from Chris Robinson and the backup singers, who were always moving. Chris has undeniable presence on stage and it was fun to watch him dance around while singing some old tunes and a lot of songs from their new album, Happiness Bastards, which is a freaking great album. Band sounded great and the stage set up had more amps than I’ve ever seen and a huge mirror so Chris could watch himself dance. And whoever booked them at McCaw Hall in Seattle must be a fan of dad jokes.

by Lamic50 on 4/24/24The Fillmore Detroit - Detroit

First time that I seen the Black Crowes and they did not disappoint. Sounded absolutely amazing and the show was fantastic! Can’t wait to see them in Jan of 2025 when they play with Aerosmith. This next show my seats will be better also.
