The Black Crowes are leaving the bullshit in the past. 15 years after their last album of original music, the Robinson Brothers present Happiness Bastards - their 10th studio album. Some may say the project has been several tumultuous years in the making, but we argue it's arriving at just the right time. Call it brotherly love or music destiny that brought them back together, the highly anticipated record consecrating the reunion of this legendary band just may be the thing that saves rock & roll. In a time where the art form is buried beneath the corporate sheen of its successors, The Black Crowes are biting back with the angst of words left unsaid penned on paper and electrified by guitar strings, revealing stripped, bare-boned rock & roll. No gloss, no glitter, just rhythm and blues at it's very best - gritty, loud, and in your face.
Since The Black Crowes reunited in 2019, they've made a triumphant return to form with over 150 shows spanning 20 countries worldwide, celebrating the 30th anniversary of Shake Your Money Maker, the album that put them on the map. Upon their return from the road, they knew they needed something new to show for their lost time. The Robinson Brothers and longtime bassist Sven Pipien headed to the studio with producer Jay Joyce in early 2023 and the experiences of years past transcribed themself through the music as the band found their way back to their roots. And it's finally here - Happiness Bastards is out March 15, 2024.
As always, they sounded great. New songs were good,,and the hits were awesome. Only complaint was that the show seemed too short. Only really played for @ an hour. For some reason, the AC set list was a good 2 songs shorter than other venues. After seeing them several times, we were disappointed that the show seemed shorter. ( even those 2 extra songs would have helped!)
The Black Crowes sounded incredible! They played most of their hits and did some covers. My only complaint is that the show was only a little over an hour. I was disappointed and wanted them to play longer. At least 90 minutes.
The concert lasted 65 minutes including walking off before encore. Was somebody sick? Curfew?
The Black Crowes sounded great, no doubt. But they only played for 1 hour and 5 minutes!! I would understand if a member wasn't feeling well, but they just played for 1 hour, did 1 encore then "good night". No explanation. Tickets are not cheap; we deserve more than 65 minutes.. I've never seen a headliner only play 65 minutes. The Rolling Stones are in their 80s and they play close to 2 hours..
It was a good show, but they played for only one hour. They should have played a few more songs. This is the first time I've been to a concert with a 1 hour show.

1st time getting to see the Black Crowes live… They did not disappoint! Incredible show… The venue was outstanding & the fans were definitely into the performance! Most of the crowd never sat down… The atmosphere was electric. I can’t get the songs out of my head…
Chris, Rob and the band sounded great and the energy was non-stop. Not crazy about the opening band (astroid 4) and I would have liked the band to paly longer than 75 minutes but otherwise was very pleased with the songs, sound and the arena. Black Crows Rock!!!
TBC brought rock to roll. Show was amazing! Sounded clean and tight. Just disappointed the show was only between 55 and 60 minutes. Everybody in audience was wandering what was going on. The setlist was shorter than other setlist on the tour.
The Crowes were a let down in a big way….. saw them at stone poney last summer for shake your money maker show which rocked. The AC show was blah and the shortest show I’ve ever been to. Played most of the new album which was good but they have such a catalog of material they could easily do the 2 hours they put on 2 days earlier in PA. Oh well
Chris didn’t engage with the audience. He named each song before singing it. His voice sounded great. Rich played great. No introduction of the band. They didn’t play Thorn in my Pride or Sting Me. There was time to play those as the show run time was 65 minutes. No interaction between the brothers. Still a fan but wouldn’t see them live again. Saw them at the Tower in Philadelphia about 25+ years ago and they rocked! Underwhelming show. The Asteroid No. 4 opened up for them. Never heard of them. They sounded good.
I saw the Black Crowes at Ocean Casino. The Black Crowes were great while the show lasted. The problem was they were only on stage for 1 hour and 5 minutes. Shows at all other venues were over 1.5 hours long. I assume this was due to the casino contract wanting draw people in and get them back out quickly to gamble. This used to be a common practice but lately I have seen extra long shows at the Hard Rock. I won't be back to Ocean.
Band played for only 64 minutes. Granted the 64 minutes that they did was good, but still just an hours worth!
They did a great show but very brief. I’ve heard it was the casino rules that it was just an hour and 10 minutes. Not sure. They knocked out a lot of songs in that time period and sounded just like the recordings! Excellent performance.
The black crowes were awesome, but the venues sound system was less than desirable.
I saw them last week in Atlantic City. They rocked. Played their best tunes…,for 65 minutes and said so long. No audience interaction. No intro of the band. Disrespectful to their fans!
It took me longer to driver there than the whole show was. What a waste of money.
The sound was awful, the band was only present physically, didn’t seem like they wanted to be there at all, played for exactly 60 minutes and done. I’ve seen them before and they were amazing. This show was a waste of time and money and will forever ruin my memories of seeing the Crowes.
The Ocean Casino and the Black Crowes totally knocked it outta the park!!!! It was such an awesome Fan Friendly Experience from Ticketing, Concessions, The Staff at the Venue, Seating, Sound - I mean Everything was Incredible!!!
