About

A major punk band for over two decades, Social Distortion came out of Los Angeles's active hardcore scene of the late '70s and early '80s. Their first album, Mommy's Little Monster, appeared in 1983 and featured the song "Another State of Mind," which aired as one of a few punk videos on mid-'80s MTV. Since then, Social Distortion have further developed their mix of punk and rockabilly with such songs as "Ball and Chain," "Bad Luck" and "Reach for the Sky." To this day, Social Distortion remain one of punk's most exciting and vital bands. Over the course of their career, Social Distortion have brought many venues to capacity, like Observatory North Park and the Mission Ballroom.

    Great bands, worst venue ever!

by mambobeetle on 4/30/24Revolution Live Outdoors - Fort Lauderdale

The bands were absolutely amazing, but the venue was a disaster. When I bought my ticket, it said it was in “The Backyard” which has bars and bathrooms. They moved the event to the parking lot and had port-o-potties. To make things worse, they packed us in so tight that we could not tell where a line for anything started. There were no trash cans, garbage everywhere, people tripping over parking blocks and curbs. I will not go back to the venue again. It appears Revolution Live is on borrowed time and it shows. There is a sign for a high rise to be built in its current location.

Revolution did not hold it together!

by Kegger on 4/30/24Revolution Live Outdoors - Fort Lauderdale

The music was fantastic- the venue was overwhelmed! Bad drinks situation - not enough staff - spent all night in a line….so disappointed Revolution didn’t come thru for Social D and Bad Religion:-(

    Great bands, not great location

by markusarelious on 4/30/24Revolution Live Outdoors - Fort Lauderdale

Although I love both Social D and Bad Religion I feel that this was the worst time seeing both. I say this for a few reasons. First, the location was terrible for it. You had a fenced-off parking lot which limited your space and mobility. Unless you get in early you were either stuck trying to pry your way to a decent location or left out in no man's land. Second, the audio was not the greatest for the location. There are trees in multiple spots which blocked some of the audio levels and clarity. I walked multiple areas and some were better than others. Lastly, the drinks options. There were very limited areas to buy drinks and if you got in line it was 20+mins to get a drink. Combine that with the tightness of the area and you couldn't tell where the line was half the time. Also the prices were stupid. Four double whiskeys was $120 not including tips. Ridiculous.

    Great show

by Bill on 4/29/24The St. Augustine Amphitheatre - St Augustine

Social Distortion was all I hoped it would be. First time seeing them in concert, did not disappoint. Had shared the show with "Bad Religion". Nowhere near as good. Had wished the whole show was SD.

    Social Distortion, Definitely Different!

by Travelin Smitty on 4/29/24The St. Augustine Amphitheatre - St Augustine

They are definitely getting along in age, and Mike has been struggling with his own health battles for some time now. While the show sounded ok, it was not the same energy I have come accustomed to at a SD show. Maybe next time will be better.

    Great show and venue!

by Jax on 4/29/24The St. Augustine Amphitheatre - St Augustine

Awesome show. The St. Augustine Amphitheatre is very easy to get around and there are never a lot of long lines. Social Distortion was great and so was Bad Religion.

    Great Twinbill; Social Distortion/Bad Religion

by J Lagen on 4/29/24The St. Augustine Amphitheatre - St Augustine

Great venue to see these two classic punk bands. A little bummed about the Social D setlist- how do they not play Story of My Life on this tour is a mystery - but a fun evening nonetheless.

by Pete on 4/29/24The St. Augustine Amphitheatre - St Augustine

With more than 40 years in the business, these guys are still knocking it out of the park. 100% strong hard driving rock ‘n’ roll. A do not miss type show. What a great band!!!!

    Wasted money

by Worst show ever on 4/29/24The St. Augustine Amphitheatre - St Augustine

Social D sounded like hell dude needs to retire and sit back and enjoy being a senior citizen. On top of that the venue was lame small pit and all the rest was seats for a punk show definitely won’t see a show there again

    Still got it

by Eigthward on 4/26/24Bayou Music Center - Houston

Both bands still put on a great show. Really cool to see Mike bring out his son. Loved the new songs. Bad Religion is as tight as ever.

    Rained out

by Mj on 4/25/24Moody Amphitheater - Austin

Only heard 3 songs of Social D before getting evacuated because of lightning. Soooo didn’t really get to see them for a full show. It was a bummer.

    I’ve Never Heard of Them

by ZM on 4/25/24Bayou Music Center - Houston

They did a cover of Ring Of Fire by Johnny Cash and that was well received but they went on way too long for me with a minuscule amount of energy in the set. They actually told the audience that they were being told to wrap it up and they said “we’re not good at listening to instructions” and proceeded to play a four minute closer.

    Great nostalgic show

by Eddie on 4/25/24Bayou Music Center - Houston

It was amazing to see the band and they sound great even after all the years. Great energy and amazing interaction with the fans. Enjoyed the mix of new and old songs. Only wish they would’ve played Story of my Life but they still hit the other bangers.

    3 songs ain't enough

by Che on 4/25/24Moody Amphitheater - Austin

I really enjoyed Love Crimes and Bad Religion, but only getting to watch the headliner perform 3 songs kinda sucked. Those three songs were great, but didn't live up to the $400 I spent on merchandise and beer.

    Worst Venue experience

by Brie on 4/24/24Moody Amphitheater - Austin

Weather iffy all day, and instead of canceling/ postponing the show they made sure to cram it down our throats and tell us rain or shine show was going to go on. Just to to give us a shortened BR show, they forced a quick stage turn over so SD could go on for 4 songs. Greediness had the show just long enough to deny refunds.

    Cancelled

by Bummed on 4/24/24Moody Amphitheater - Austin

The music was great while it lasted, 5 songs and the show was over. It was raining and most of the people were dressed for rain knowing the forecast. After the band played the fifth song they told everyone to leave because of lightning in the area. Not sure where the lightning was, but we didn't ever see it. The venue was packed. Someone made a lot of money.
