So we traveled up to the Railriders game on Saturday afternoon, in order to catch some Yankees baseball and snag Hawaiian shirts as well. We arrived 2 hours early, so that we were not shut out on the shirt giveaway. One hour later, they began to search bags and check tickets at the gate. At the time of entry, we were expecting to receive shirts when we walked inside, like usual. Instead, they hand the first 2,000 fans (doubtful) a paper voucher to pick up their shirts during the 4th inning. In the interim, I decided to purchase both charity baseballs to throw on the field during the 5th inning, as well as snack at the snack bar. When the 4th inning rolled around, we went out to get our shirts. The lines were long, slow, and pretty chaotic. By the time we arrived at the front of the line, we missed the entire 4th inning of play and I lost my voucher along the way. And they announced the charity toss on the field was taking place, and I sprinted back to just make it in time to throw the balls on the field. In a nutshell, missed an entire inning of play, didn't get a shirt, and watch the Railriders lose a ballgame. Whomever came up with the idea of giving out vouchers to be surrendered during the ballgame, ought to be fired 1
Wonderful slice of Americana. Baseball, supporting the local leagues and businesses, safe and friendly. And Friday Fireworks is the best.
Really enjoyed the game and I was engaged the entire game with the activities in the stands, scoreboard, field happenings, and game itself of course!
Great seats no problem at check-in. Great day and game. We are already making plans for next year.
Running the stadium as no cash forces the attendees so pull out Debit, Credit or other plastic to pay at every little vendor stand. My card #, name, address and all other info connected with the card was used at five different contact vendor companies. Totally wrong, total security risk and just not customer friendly. I would not recommend anyone taking on such an unnecessary Security risk just to go to a ball game. I would not recommend anyone to go under this policy.
The stadium is nice, but for it to be no cash is not very customer friendly even to pay for parking they want Plastic. Refusing legal tender gives a very Big brother feeling. Would not go again because of it.
Great stadium, clean, friendly staff, not a bad seat in the house with reasonable prices. Overall great time!
Was a pain to get tickets. All this logging in and sending messages re logging in. Also prices for event were cheaper at event and parking was $40 cheaper at event. Ridiculous hike. I understand you have to make money. But cost me 160. Could have paid around 70$ all together at gate. Never again.
Saw a great game between the Rail Riders and the Iron Pigs. Great weather and a great place to watch a game.
This California family was excited to go back for a second time as my son had a blast the first time. The first time he was able to look over the bullpen, get balls from players, and then he shared them with people in the stands. This time he was blocked at every turn. He was very disappointed and doesn't feel a need to return again.
We were in PA for a baseball tournament. The Railriders game was a great night out for the whole family.
Really nice stadium. Easy parking. Easy leaving the stadium. Great overall experience.
Always a great time at PNC Field. Whether they Railriders win or lose (Hopefully win!) it's nice to be out in the fresh air (when we have some this summer) and watch a game with players one step away from the major leagues. Players like Derek Jeter and Aaron Judge have played with the Railriders. You can have a great family time for the cost of one ticket to a major league game. And not a bad seat in the house!
Always a great time at PNC Field to see the Railriders!
Had a great time. Everyone from ticket takers to ushers were very helpful and friendly. Seats were great.
You should let people know when the game starts early i showed up in the 4th inning and left for the second game because i had to go because i had to pickup a child from a friends house
Everything about the experience was great except for the obnoxious fan who yelled, screamed, insulted players and fans, and changed seats throughout the game. Many older fans got up and moved away and staff did not say a word to the guy the entire game.
From being a carnival a few years ago, it has turned into a nice baseball experience. A few issues are the concessions. Nestle must own 50 natural water springs in PA, and you do not sell ANY Spring Water. The parking is a bit steep, $7 for the privilege of parking on dirt.
Enjoyable, pleasant and fun day at the Ball Park, with wife and kids for Mother's day.
