Uriah Heep definitely brat my expectations as I only listened to David Baron on their vocals but Bernie Shaw was awsome. He still as a great voice. The music was out of this world. Saxon performed very well as well. I really enjoyed this concert.
Biff and the guys are still rocking hard and sounding amazing.
I’ve never seen Uriah Heep before and wasn’t sure what to expect but they were totally amazing. I was blown away by the great sound and musician of the whole band. All I can say is wow! And I had seen before in Germany and they were powerful and did not disappoint, they were amazing. The Hard Rock is a great venue.
Awesome concert. Saxon & Uriah Heep put on an amazing heavy metal show. The power & the glory of their performances were spectacular. If you like British Heavy Metal, this is a must see show. Rated 10 out of 10. Saw them in Fort Lauderdale April 23, 2024 to kick off their latest tour.
They sounded great in this nice venue . Too bad there was no room on the ceiling for the eagle
I went to see Uriah Heep. Left after Saxons 1st song I am not a fan of heavy metal
Vocal and band talent still incredible after all these years.
Very tight band, Biff’s voice sound’s great, best show I’ve seen in a while.
What a great show. These guys are what rock and roll are about. Saxon still brings energy and intensity that younger bands should emulate. These guys are all well into retirement age and do not need to be doing this but thank God they still are. Keep Rocking boys!!
Saxon is still alive and well after 40+ years. One of the true great bands of metal! Show was as awesome as when I saw them in 1983!
It was just about a once in a lifetime experience to see the British Metal legends - SAXON - do an unforgettable show for a few hundred of us at such an intimate venue.....the Brass Mug in north Tampa! They were spot-on and they played lots of early stuff from the 70s and 80s. Sure it was stuffy and warm in the bar, but that still didn't stop us from having a great time. Met their guitarist, Doug, after the show and chatted for a few minutes and he graciously obliged a photo. He was as nice as can be. The Band Played On for about two hours with an epic set: Thunderbolt Sacrifice Wheels of Steel Strong Arm of the Law Denim and Leather Battering Ram Frozen Rainbow Backs to the Wall They Played Rock and Roll The Power and the Glory Hungry Years Dogs of War Heavy Metal Thunder Ride Like the Wind Lionheart The Eagle Has Landed To Hell and Back Again Dallas 1pm Crusader ----- encore----- 747 Strangers in the Night Princess of the Night ..... and just like that, the evening was over and they were off to South Florida for the Monsters of Rock Cruise..... If they happen to return to Tampa, I'll be one of the first to buy tickets...
Waited since '81 to see them and was not disappointed. What a phenomenal band and gig! Hopefully they'll come around again, and hopefully play a bigger place.
Stage was too small with very poor light show and no background features. For such a big fan and big band it was a bit disappointing.
Every song played was at full intensity. The venue was packed and an amazing time was had by all. Magical experience. Saxon were absolutely amazing. The opening bands were terrific and the Brass Mug and staff are always amazing!
The Brass Mug was a terrible place to have a band of Saxon’s caliber no room to move hot as hell. Saxon has still got it after all these years. Just would have liked to see them some where other than a run down converted strip mall.
Saxon was GREAT!! Having said that, there were way, way, way to many people there. Couldn't even see the band. Packed in like sardines and very hot. Took forever to get a beer too. Cool place for local bands but Saxon should be playing bigger venues!!
Great show as usual. Small club. Great crowd. Have seen Saxon many times (over 20) including Strong Arm tour and this was first time I ever saw them play The Hungry Years from Strong Arm album. One of my long time favorites. They don’t have the show Maiden has, but they have the music. Don’t miss it if you have a chance.
I waited a long time to see Saxon, since 1983.The day(night)came.A small venue gave me the opportunity to get close to the stage. Saxon was well recieved in Tampa,Fl.Hopefuly Saxon will return as they blew the crowd away.Rainbow Bridge to Thunderbolt was delivered with high energy precision.Thank you to all who made this happen.
Not only was it a privilege to have Saxon come to Central Florida and play for us, but they played a tremendous set from their whole catalog including Dallas 1pm and Crusader, which wasn't even on their other show set lists online. Please come back!
