About

OWEN BENJAMIN LIVE:

Comedian and actor Owen Benjamin is a master of musical comedy, consistently cracking up ticket buyers with a hilarious blend of stand-up and gut-busting improvised musical numbers. At his live shows Benjamin takes cues from the crowd, peppering his routine with side-splitting, spontaneous ditties about people in the audience. The good-natured ribbing is tailored to every crowd, making for a unique and dynamic comedy experience that always leaves fans rofl . In 2015 Benjamin is bringing his razor-sharp improv skills, brilliant comedic timing, and seriously impressive musical chops on the road for the Huge Pianist Tour, which leads up to a taping of his new comedy special.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

New York-born Owen Benjamin got his start in entertainment during college, where he was involved with a student-run TV station. By the mid-'00s he was acting in films, including roles in 2007's I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry and 2008's The House Bunny. He scored a breakthrough in 2009 when he co-starred in the feature film All's Faire in Love alongside Christina Ricci. Since then he's made regular appearances on a variety of TV shows including Punk'd, Sullivan and Son, and Bar Rescue. He's appeared on The Jay Leno Show twice, where he displayed his musical comedy talents by performing parody jingles for local Burbank businesses. In addition to his film and TV roles Benjamin is a fixture on the stand-up comedy circuit, performing regularly at venues across the country and producing a weekly show at The Improv comedy club in Hollywood.

Never seen publicly, can't wait to see in person!

by Matthew Garrett Chisum on 4/10/20

If there was a wise old man at the top of a mountain that would give wisdom within humorous rants and jokes, Owen Benjamin would be the wisest! Despite differences in religious beliefs, i could listen to him for the rest of my life both for humor and guidance. I will stand by and soil myself to his comedy and world view to the edges of Midgard and off into Ginnungagap!

    Legendary. Hilarious. True comedian.

    by Browning on 1/3/20

One of the few left out there that haven't sold out. It's a shame comedy clubs won't let him perform because he's hilarious. Venues need to recognize comedy and stick up for the comedian. Take a stand for once. A couple phone calls from SJW's that have there feelings hurt by a comedians words and comedy venues bend the knee. Wake up people, it's obvious and it's not furthering comedy in any way by censoring comedians.

    Bland and boring

Walked out halfway through the show because of boredom. Luckily I got the tickets for free, but I still feel ripped off after wasting my time.

    Severely Underrated

by BrendonSF on 1/13/17Punchline - San Francisco

I'm a big fan of stand-up, and have been to countless shows. Owen is a rarity. His thoughtful humor and piano skills make for an unforgettable experience. I've seen him twice so far, and he has become one of my favorite comedians.

    Owen is hilarious. Warning..R rated!

by Cyno on 2/1/16Skagit Valley Casino Pacific Showroom - Bow

We loved the show. He stayed on stage for almost 2 hours and he was having as much fun as the crowd! It is a 21 and over show however; it probably should be warned to some people that it is a very R rated show!

he was funny; the venue was a joke

by keptinluxury on 10/17/15Rough Trade NYC - Brooklyn

3 comics; each progressively better and funnier. Owen was hilarious and a true delight; he interacted with the audience in a phenomenal way....strayed from his routine and re-entered with ease. Everyone was hooked on what he had to say. He handled an unexpected heckler sensationally; wasn't sure if it was scripted or not. Even a few uncomfortable moments he made entertaining.

Opener feature comedian was not great. He didn't really get the audience engaged. Not all jokes seemed appropriate for the type of audience dynamic that was there.
