English singer/songwriter Olly Murs’ world changed in 2009 when he performed a compelling rendition of Stevie Wonder’s “Superstition,” stunning “The X Factor” U.K. judge Simon Cowell. Though he ended the season’s sixth series as the runner-up, Murs was just beginning a rocketing music career, which now includes a record deal with Epic Records in the U.K. and Columbia Records stateside.
From the beginning, the 20-something pop crooner has collaborated with some of the genre’s biggest tickets. His 2010 eponymous debut features a track co-written with Ed Sheeran, while a more recent album — 2012’s “Right Place Right Time” — includes special guest Flo Rida on the contagious “Troublemaker.” Murs, who’s vocally reminiscent of Maroon 5’s Adam Levine, has a malleable handle on the genre, moving from the pop-soul of “Troublemaker” to conjuring up memories of ’50s rock and roll with his single “Dance With Me Tonight.”
On the tour circuit, Murs has not only supported Robbie Williams and One Direction on massive runs, but he’s also headlined his own arena concerts across the U.K.
I was not impressed with the opening act: Before You Exit, but Mr. Murs was definitely refreshing to hear. He and his backup singers are very talented singers and entertainers. The overall experience was amazing. I would definitely go again.
It was fantastic. He's a great singer and performer. He's got a cheeky sense of humor and an adorable British accent.

The event was amazing! The venue was great as well not a bad seat in the house. Olly Murs puts on a fantastic show! You can see how much he loves his job! He had everyone dancing and singing along! He has great stage presence and was such a flirt! I loved every minute of this show! I would love to see him again!
Olly Murs definitely 'sang'. Not just that, but he was very entertaining with his dance moves and audience interaction. His band was amazing live. They did a really good job.
He really engages the crowd and makes the night unforgettable. I went with my boyfriend and had a great time!!!! His voice was pure and perfect! I love his songs and how he sang them live!!! Great night!!!!
Olly Murs won UK X Factor in 2009, so obviously he's a great artist but he has such great energy and such a great entertainer. He sounds live just like he does on his cd and he is such a little flirt with the crowd. To be honest, one of the best shows I have ever been too and I have been to a TON! My friends and I waited around afterwards and at about midnight he walked out of the venue and took pictures, signed autographs and just hung out and talked with us. This is one of those things that aren't that big of a deal for him but for the fans it's a moment we will never forget, he is so willing to take pictures and talk to his fans and I love him for that. Not many artists now a days will stand in the freezing cold rain and just talk to fans, but he did and I will forever love him and be thankful for him. Overall it was a freaking fantastic concert and everyone needs to go see him!
What a fabulous show! Although the show is typically for teenage girls it was thoroughly enjoyed by those of us who are of more mature years! Great energy from Olly and lots of audience interaction.
The entire night was unforgettable. My daughter and a friend we so excited to see Olly Murs but to top off the night, they also saw Before You Exit. They even got a handshake from Riley McDonough.
Olly Murs and Before You Exit made the crowd go wild! Yes, they were mostly younger girls, but all ages and sexes were there and no one left unhappy. Both played to the crowd and the crowd loved it!! Can't wait for Olly to come back and play a bigger venue. Was not really impressed with the brick and mortar, but the guys made you forget it was a dump :)
Even through Olly Murs was the runner-up in the 2009 series of the X Factor UK, he is a definite winner in my book. Olly hits the States for his first headlining tour, to promote his US release of "Right Place, Right Time." His first two albums were only released in the UK, but you could tell by the show, that US natives love his music as well. I live in Columbus and was more than willing to drive an hour and a half to see Olly perform live. This was my first small-venue concert and I know now why the fans love these events! The facility was terrific...but Olly was amazing!! He danced his way right into every heart in the house. And then, even though he wasn't feeling 100%, he came out just an hour after the concert and spent time with the 150 or so waiting fans.
Hello! Good show! Opening band, Before You Exit, was quite entertaining. The transition from the opener to Olly Murs was quite tediously long though (~35-45min ish). Unexpectedly, majority of the crowd was late elementary and high school girls. Didn't see many individuals over the age of 19. Quite happy that Olly Murs sang a lot of his older songs - as these were the ones I was hopeful that he would sing. Overall, quite happy with the music, but it made it difficult to enjoy the last half due to fatigue of standing since the transition was so long and people were lining up approximately an hour to 2 hours in advanced.
There was never a dull moment. Olly is a great entertainer.
OLLY MURS IS THE BEST PERFORMER. HE REALLY CONNECTS WITH THE AUDIENCE!!!! I wish the show was longer but 200% awesome!!!
Everything was amazing about this concert. Olly Murs was perfection and very entertaining. I had a lot of fun just singing and dancing with my friends. I wish i could go back!

The concert was amazing!!! I love Olly even more than I did before. He was a wonderful performer, and you could really tell that he was loving it. Also, he is an amazing dancer. Which I didn't know before. He also did a lot of shaking, which was appreciated. :) I loved all the songs, and the entire experience was unforgettable.
This was an amazing venue that I went with my mother. We both found traveling time, and location of The Fillmore really convenient and fell in love with it's size and design. We were apprehensive at first since we had standing room only ticket s, but we found that we had no issue standing the whole duration of the venue. It seemed small and comfortable. It seemed that there weren't many people but after reviewing photo we saw that there were a lot more people than we anticipated. We were surprised by that. Olly Murs was amazing and we are definitely coming back to The Fillmore in Silver Spring!
Olly Murs' concert was fantastic! He is a great performer. He dances, he interacts with the crowd, he wiggles his eyebrows. Very genuine. Great singer, wonderful music. The Fillmore is a fun setting, too.
