All the GF songs you'd expect and some that may surprise you. Sixth time seeing Mark (including GF). Only complaint would have been the sound system. Not sure if it was because the volume was to high or the speakers were not top quality but sounded a little distorted.
Mark and the Band were wonderful. It was good to see and hear Hubert again too. The song line up was genuine, I believe he added a couple extra people called out for to hear. The sound was great. The Band played great, good vocals, instrumentals, and the music flowed. I know the show was postponed from April 2020, and I wondered if the snow kept people home. I had to brave the drive by myself, over the two bridges linking Grand Island, but I knew what was up ahead - a wonderful time with Mark Farner...I met folks who drove in from PA, an hour south of Bradford,PA, and they stayed at the hotel. Others came from very Upstate NY, and we were all glad to be there. The Bears Den adds to the pleasure as every seat is a good seat, to hear and see. The band interacted well with the audience. Mark played a great joke on the audience, it was funny, and I figure he does that to his grand kids, or when his kids were young. Whenever he plays nearby, I always show up. I know he is a good man, an American Man, a Family Man, and a Grand Musician, an Icon of our American Rock history, and he is a Christian, as are the others. If I have any suggestions, I'll pass them on to him personally. I appreciate everyone being introduced, and it is worth mentioning I'm glad he snagged his friend and stage manager away from Ringo - an asset to Mark. The show Rolled along, on Track, and we reached our destination with the haunting tune I'm Your Captain, Closer to Home - which is heart wrenching at times for many of US Veterans. Glad to have been there, I felt like I am the Aimless Lady, in the Front Row, and the show was definitely "Some Kind of Wonderful", as well one could say, the Faith I have in Marks work is , "if you got somebody, you can trust to the very end, if you do, I want to be like you, cuz you real got a real good friend"...Mark is our best Friend, Let him know how well he did....This Air Force Veteran, says so. His Friend til the Very End.
Great show Great band Great energy Great memories
After all the years, he still has it! Great venue. Wish he came to the West Coast more often we flew from Arizona to meet friends from Illinois to see Mark Farner. And our friends last name was Farner. The only thing is the sound could have been tweaked from an A- to an A+ because the sound booth was directly out front where they were probably controlling it did not seem to be as great of sound on the sides
Went from Detroit MI to Niagra Falls NY. Just to see Mark Farner in concert. I was not disappointed. This guy put on one of the best shows I've ever seen. Great band with him. He still has a great strong voice. I've always liked Grand Funk and this was an amazing experience. It seems like the older Mark gets the better he performs.
I love GFR and was really looking forward to this show. While the band did play some great songs and had a few memorable moments, the sound was spotty, too loud for the room, and the guitar and bass often drowned out the vocals. Show also only lasted less than an hour and a half, and Mark Farner seemed more intent on boasting about past accomplishments than putting on a rock n' roll show to remember. On the positive side, the drummer was awesome and Mark Farner still has amazing vocals, musicianship, and a fun stage presence.
Sound mix was terrible, always late on voice and guitar leads. Drums and bass guitar overshadowed all instruments, and you could barely hear the keyboard player. Too much time between songs, and the concert only lasted a little over an hour. I love Mark Farner, but this was disappointing.
Saw Mark Farner. Great venue to see a show. Matter of fact it is one of my favorites in Milwaukee. Mark Farner was amazing. He played almost all of the songs we wanted to hear. Can’t wait to hear more of his new songs.
Mark Farner is the voice of Grand Funk Railroad and he wrote most all of the songs. He went through his collection of hits with an excellent backup band. Still in great shape for his age. Very enjoyable evening
