About

Manila Killa On Tour

Electronic music purveyor and in-demand producer Manila Killa creates hypnotic beats and danceable soundscapes that transport listeners to another dimension. Born Christian Gavino, Manila Killa draws inspiration from his Filipino roots and his cross-cultural upbringing.

Manila Killa's 2019 debut EP, 1993 -- named for the year he was born -- received rave reviews from fans as well as media outlets including Forbes and Billboard, which said his music is an "emotional synthwave fantasy." Manila Killa takes things up a notch on his debut full-length album, Dusk, released in the summer of 2022. Reminiscent of influential DJ/producer Moby, who creates emotional swells and cinematic motifs combined with house music and intriguing samples, the album provides the perfect backdrop for relaxing with a drink while the sun goes down or for dancing it out in a sweaty dance tent long after the sun has set.

Experience the bliss for yourself and grab tickets to see Manila Killa on tour when he hits a city near you.

Manila Killa Live in Concert

Music has been a part of Manila Killa's life from a very young age. Growing up in the Philippines, Christian Gavino learned to play cello, drums and guitar when he was just a kid, and began DJing when he was only 14. Intrigued by dance music and its ability to transcend cultural boundaries and bring people together, he decided to make a serious go of it, forming the successful house duo Hotel Garuda with his friend Aseem Mangaokar.

Since then, Gavino has focused on his solo career as Manila Killa, as well as producing for other artists and remixing everyone from Chvrches to Tegan and Sara. He's also performed at several renowned EDM festivals, including Firefly, HARD Summer, SnowGlobe, and Ultra. What's more, he co-founded the independent record label

Moving Castle along with fellow producers Hunt for the Breeze, AO Beats and Robokid.

Manila Killa's music is often categorized under "tropical house," a subgenre of electronic dance music that the producer says "reminds you of the beach." But that doesn't quite do it justice. Complex beats, cinematic swells and catchy and melodic vocal samples bring a complexity to his sound that goes far beyond simply feel-good music for sandy shores and uplifts you no matter where you are.
