Little River Band on Tour
"The Best Singing Band in the World" -- as proclaimed by the Eagles' Glenn Frey -- otherwise known as Australian pop-rock group Little River Band, has returned for a 2022 tour celebrating the release of their much-anticipated greatest hits collection, Black Tie. Known for their polished vocals and harmonizing soft-rock hits like 1978's "Reminiscing" and "Lady," Little River Band is a five-piece group that has sold more than 30 million records, and set the record in 1982 for having Top 10 hits in six consecutive years. Fans praise live performances from the Australian group for their vocal and musical energy, great arrangements and timeless classics. Each Little River Band show is sure to create lasting memories. Their new tour has more than 100 scheduled dates from Florida to Minnesota to Arizona and everywhere in between.
Little River Band in Concert
LRB formed in Melbourne in 1975 when lead singer Glenn Shorrock and guitarist Beeb Birtles merged their established success in previous ventures to cement their status in an already vibrant Australian rock scene. Current frontman and longest tenured member Wayne Nelson joined the band five years later as a bassist and vocalist. Nelson has contributed to 23 of Little River Band's studio album releases over 42 years, and many of their major hits, including "Take It Easy on Me," "The Night Owls" and "The Other Guy." Shorrock and Birtles left the group and briefly returned, contributing to a turnstile of rotating members coming and going that would plague the group for years. By 1998, no original members of LRB remained, and Nelson and Stephen Housden would claim legal rights to the band's name. In 2004 the Australian Recording Industry Association Hall of Fame inducted the 1976 lineup of Little River Band -- Graeham Goble, Glenn Shorrock, Beeb Birtles, Derek Pellicci, David Briggs, and George McArdle -- during a ceremony at the 18th Annual ARIA Music Awards. The band's latest release, Black Tie, is a passionate, energetic collection of live performances of the core group with an injection of spirit from the Craig Turley Rock Symphony. Current members of Little River Band include: Wayne Nelson, Chris Marion (keys), Bruce Wallace (guitar), Ryan Ricks (drums/percussion), and Colin Whinnery (guitar).

The Hollywood Casino is small venue like having a concert in your own backyard. And Little River Band put on an Awesome Show!! Great night out!!
Wonderful concert. All the old hits along with some new songs. Very entertaining. Truly talented musicians.
Wonderful show - great mix of the familiar songs and two new songs that will be added to my playlist. Can't wait for the new album release!
Loved Seeing Little River Band for the 2nd time. Music was fantastic! All members of the band interacted with their audience and the smaller venue made for an acceptional experience. Looking forward to seeing them again soon.
Band was incredible. New song and old hits kept the crowd happy. Amazing guitar, drums and keyboard. LRB sounded as great as they did 40 years ago! Most impressive: they hung around on stage handing out guitar picks, signing autographs and talking to fans. Only 12 people left when I departed and band was still there. How amazing is that!!! Can’t wait to see them again.
This was AWESOME... Good Music Good time.... Just Strange for the venue. For example, I could not start a tab at the bar....
No original band members.. Vocals were awful...LRB is a band much like the Eagles that had tight harmonies and great vocals. They should not be able to tour under the LRB name without a LARGE DISCLAIMER. WASTE OF MONEY !!!!
I loved the venue at the IP in Biloxi. Very intimate. Very well directed. Great bar Convenient restrooms! I dont think there is a bad seat in the house. Now Little River Band WOW! One of the best concerts Ive been too. They were very audience minded. We sang along with them. Guitarists fabulous and the keyboard singer was amazing and has an amazing voice. Lead singer put it all together just right.
I'd forgotten how many hits were produced by the Little River Band. Their musicianship was excellent, as expected, and they put on a great, interactive show. We were also impressed with the venue. Imperial Palace Studio A had extremely-comfortable seats with a great view, and bars were close by, so we could get a beverage and not miss any of the performance. We look forward to seeing more bands there.
It was great hearing the old songs sprinkled with some new tunes! Loved the show.
No original members or australians in the lineup. Dwayne has the licensing rights to use the name LRB only. A business owns the name, none of the original members do like Glenn Shorrock, Beeb Bertles, and there is a 3rd who did the majority of the songwriting. Anyway…
I made a poor decision to purchase tickets last minute. Got barstool seats. Was not aware these were first come first serve. Could not see from seats against wall. Lots of commotion near bar. Band was good based on limitations. This 82 year old will not be doing this again soon. I love music and don’t mind the enthusiasm of the younger generation. Just poor seating.
We haven't seen LRB since 1996. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The temperature in the venue could have been cooler, but the show was great!
A blast from the past. Highly recommend Reminiscing. Awesome new songs too. Great songwriting Bruce!
It was a nite to listen to real music and take a ride back to the days in school and College. The guys showed the crowd what real music sounded like and showed their craft of playing in a band. The lead was always talking to the crowd and made you feel like you were part of the show. The guys were showing their age but still had it after 42 years of playing music . And if you tune into radio or the net you can still hear LRB music played with pride. GREAT SHOW and the band are a bunch of Guys just making music with fun and rhythm.. GO see what a band looks like before they end and retire and go to the park and reminisce on the stage.
LRB was the first date in August, 1979 in Houston for my wife and I. We had a great time remembering the songs and enjoying the show. We just wish it would have been longer than an hour and a half.
This group of 5 men are masters of their trade. They work so seamlessly together and have fun up there while entertaining us! This is our 9th time seeing them and we will continue when they come anywhere close. Next year will be LRB’s 50th anniversary! Special concerts and guests are expected. You should treat yourself and get tickets. Thank you, Wayne, Chris, Colin, Bruce and last but not least, Ryan, for being so personable after the show! See ya soon💕
I cannot express the joy we felt seeing the LRB. They were awesome. They played all the great songs, had wonderful interactions with the fans, and had the crowd singing along throughout the entire show. I cannot wait until they come back near us, I would splurge on front row…they were that good.
Thoroughly enjoyed the show, the vocals were great and they rocked it! Thanks for bringing lots of memories back!
