Country bass crooner Josh Turner has one of the most recognizable – and deepest – voices in country music. With his fifth album, 2012’s Punching Bag, Turner added yet another entry to a string of chart-topping albums, achieving one of his biggest hits to date with single “Time Is Love.” As a child, Turner honed his unique voice singing bass in church choir quartets before heading to Nashville to pursue his passion – country music. His platinum-certified 2003 debut Long Black Train was an instant hit, rising to No. 3 on the country charts on the strength of its title track and lead single. Sophomore album Your Man would peak at No. 1 on the Country Albums chart, followed by 2007’s Everything is Fine and 2010’s Haywire, the latter featuring No. 1 hits “Why Don’t We Just Dance” and “All Over Me.” Turner is known for putting on one of the most entertaining live concerts in country music, building anticipation among ticket buyers for his upcoming 2014 tour.
Very boring and uneventful, great singer, but not a entertainer.
The show lined up perfectly with a road trip we had planned so we had to go. The smaller venue made the show that much better. He played all his hits and even added some Hank Williams! Would def recommend seeing Josh Turner if you have the chance.
One of the best concerts I have attended. Josh was awesome and how can you not love his bass voice.
It was a great show. Andy Brasher did an amazing job starting for Josh Turner. The show was absolutely incredible. Josh Turner was wonderful
bought tickets to attend at the owensboro riverpark center and then the riverpark center just went too woke for my family. supporting and hosting drag shows at the facility, and given Josh is a devoted christian, im surprised he still opted to hold his event at a facility which promotes the acts of sinful behavior. my family of 6 will never again step foot in the Owensboro Riverpark Center and i hope they lose so much funding the bulldoze it down.
Josh Turner was fantastic and we were inspired by his Christian witness. There were three main songs I wanted to hear but unfortunately we only heard one as we had to leave by9:45. I thought with a 7:30 start time we would hear plenty of Josh. However, with an opening act and very long 35 minute "intermission " between sets we only got to hear just over an hour of Josh. However, every minute of that time was 5 stars.
We really enjoyed the concert, Josh was as great as ever. Loved it. Was very disappointed with some of the audience as they kept getting up and walking around during the performance. Seemed very rude to me and was distracting especially when they stopped and were talking to people behind us rather loudly. I felt like they were being inconsiderate to the performers
A true entertainer and professional, Josh Turner and his band did not disappoint! This was a great event/experience.
One of the better concerts I have attended (I’m 73), despite a hard rainstorm, it was wonderful and Josh made us feel at home. Bring him back!
I bought these tickets to go with my sister. I did not tell her I bought tickets in the front row dead center. I went first and as we got closer, I heard her say, "where are we going." We had isle seats and when we got to the front, I sat down and she couldn't believe it. She gave me a big hug. Josh Turner was great. He was so close. Amazing concert.
