Never disappoints! This was the first time seeing the artists at the Greek...Maybe it was because we were in the nosebleeds, but the sound quality could have been better. It was hard to hear the artists over the instruments or bass. also, they have a transition recording before every act...besides the comedian and dj. This time could probably be used. Stevie B came on as the final act and said he only had 10 minutes. This could also be due to him being a late addition, but if that is the case adjust the show or don't allow it. I bought the tickets without him being part of the lineup. They did have a young kid twenty-something play midway through...I would have preferred that type of act be in the beginning when we are arriving and trying to find our seats, instead of missing the wonderful freestyle one or two hitters... the three stars is for the venue...sound quality...and stairs could be updated. The actual performances were amazing! 10 stars!! with Trinere, LisaLisa, and SaltnPepa rocking it out...and no one can outsing the incredible Brenda K. Starr!
Great show except Salt N Pepa should have been the closing act
Can’t ever go wrong at the Greek! The show was a great mix - but a few too many acts thrown in that were not necessary and cut into one of the main draws(StevieB) sets because of Greek curfew(11pm). But overall a fun show to see.
Amazing night!!! All the fans were having a great time. Freestyle music brings people together and brings back memories and creates new ones. Thank to Bobby Dee Presents for putting an amazing concert. Much love and respect BDP!!!
I have loved the Freestyle subgenre for 20+ years and this was my first chance to see some hitmakers live - along with LEGEND Lisa Lisa + Cult Jam, who got a much deserving and emotional standing-O. The Greek was just the best place to host this event. Freestyle under the stars...it just doesn’t get better. DJ Gazel (name spelling?) was really good and was playing more obscure freestyle/disco jams during intermission. I would definitely go back to a pure Freestyle festival. Just could do without The Village People breaking the genre-vibe next time. Trinere killed it though! I think there are a lot more artists with Freestyle hits to keep this thing going. More in LA please! Age: 35 Gender: non-binary
This annual Freestyle festival at the Greek never disappoints! So many great artists, hilarious comedy in-between acts, and such a cool, clean venue. My only wish this time around was to allow Stevie B more time to perform. He is eveyone's favorite freestyle artist with the most hits, and needs more stage time!! Also, the speakers could have been louder this year as well. Other than that, amazing show, huge party, well worth the money!!
Entertaining! Dj was great, Sebastian funny, food yummy, & great seats!
I hadn't a great time and the line up was great! The music took me back to my childhood.
