Great concert, amazing musicians and happy to have been there to see Don Walsh receive his award to the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame - well deserved!
Loved the vibe and the singers and pianist who were brought in. Also the band is inspirational to still be so good.
My wife and I knew it was going to be a fun evening from the very first song of opening act, Andy J forest. We enjoyed Mr. Forest's music so much that at intermission we purchased one of his CD's and were very fortunate to actually met him. The Downchild Blues band we thought started a bit slow but the tempo soon increased and with the help of a number of special guests, including Dan Aykroyd, gave us a very enjoyable and memorable Evening. The only surprise for us was we thought the sound quality was not up to usual NAC standards or quality. For whatever reason, it was very difficult to understand the words of whomever was signing. Still, an amazing evening.
Downchild still rules! Awesome show with a great opening act to set the tone for the evening. Looking forward to the 60th Anniversary of this legendary Canadian band.
This was some of the best blues I’ve ever heard!! I’ve been to blues bars all over the world. Man could these guys play!! Awesome evening! I’d see them again & again just like Colin James...never missed one of his concerts in Winnipeg!
Legendary Cdn blues band. I’d go see them every time they come. Colin James was a great bonus also. One of the best shows I’ve seen. Old school pros.
Downchild Blues Band was awesome! A great time from the start - with David Gogo opening & Colin James near the end. Wouldn't hesitate to see this premiere Canadian act again!
Band was in good shape. Enjoyable evening. More than one song with guests would have been nice but when you've been on stage for 50yrs you deserve to keep the spotlight!
Great music, very talented group. A little late starting, would have like to hear a little more from Jim Brynes
