About

Citing influences like Panic! at the Disco and Slipknot, Crown the Empire are more than your average metalcore band. Their debut album for Rise Records, The Fallout, is as much about poppy choruses and electronic flourishes as chugging riffs and screaming. If anything comes through in a Crown the Empire concert it is an uncompromising drive to be the biggest band in the world. Their dual vocal attack meshes perfectly to connect them to the solid power of heavy metal and the soaring drama of the best pop, giving ticket-holders plenty of bang for their bucks.

After a spot on The Warped Tour, Crown the Empire accompanied Asking Alexandria on their headlining tour across America and the UK. With their much more mature approach to The Fallout, masterful re-recording of the Limitless EP and an announcement to release another album some time in 2014, they may climb the heights they claim to be aiming for.

Crown the Empire began in 2010 when "Brandon and Austin decided to start jamming together." Still in high school, they gathered a group of talented musicians around themselves in an attempt to put together a hard-hitting band with mainstream appeal. Their first EP, Limitless, was well received in up-to-the-moment metalcore circles, where their deft handling of electronic elements did not go unnoticed. Their debut LP, The Fallout, shed some of their metal elements and welcomed a second vocalist into the fold, and their undeniable drive and energy lit up The Van's Warped Tour. After a support slot with Asking Alexandria through the rest of 2013 they announced that they were going back to the studio to record a new album. So far the band has only congealed their unique musical vision, and good things are no doubt ahead for this young band.

Bands, great. Set up not so good

by Hellcat on 6/18/22House of Blues Chicago - Chicago

The venue is beautiful, the bands put on a great show BUT no one was really on the balcony and the floor was packed which makes me think no one was really “where they were supposed to be” so it made it a very cramped environment. Also had a few rude attendees.

    I cried.

by Sammii on 6/17/22House of Blues Chicago - Chicago

I’m 27 years old and somehow the fan girl in me is still very much alive. I’ve been listening to CTE for 8 years now and seeing them live for the first time- It’s a feeling I can’t describe. Yes, some of the lyrics may sound rage crazy coming out of our mouths, but being able to let our psycho loose really just relieves all the stress modern life brings. Crown has always been a band people can connect with and a live show brought it to another level. (House of blues should have gave him the shot the first time.) iykyk.

    Honestly the Best Night

by Carlos C on 6/8/22House of Blues San Diego - San Diego

Whole show was so fun and energetic. The venue can definitely feel cramped when things really kick off. The acts all did amazing but the energy when Crown came on was infectious. Can't wait to see them again whenever they return to town.

    Was a great show

by MixedByKira on 6/6/22Teragram Ballroom - Los Angeles

Despite crown the empire was a good show I don’t support abusers and don’t see that it was fit for them to still continue knowing the circumstances! Drugs killed it as always Craig is one of the biggest beast in this genre of music!

    Fun show

by Sinthia on 6/6/22Teragram Ballroom - Los Angeles

Good priced tickets, intimate venue, wait time to get in wasn't bad, lineup was good, the opener could've hyped the crowd up some more since they're starting the show off, other artists were amazing, the build up to CTE was great, overall amazing show!

Had the best time of my life

by Ezzy on 6/5/22House of Blues San Diego - San Diego

Audio was great, lights were fantastic, would’ve liked more fog but it was ok… the band themselves were amazing. Crown the empire delivered an amazing show and had great stage presence. The mosh pit was safe and responsible but still crazy.

Crown the Empire at The Cave

by MissManners1313 on 1/6/20The Cave - Big Bear Lake

Amazing. I’ve seen Crown the Empire 6 times and they never disappoint. This was my first time at The Cave and the small, intimate venue is perfect! Loved it.

    Best show I’ve been to.

by Thomas on 8/28/19House of Blues San Diego presented by Cricket Wireless - San Diego

Placing three bands like Veil of Maya, Atilla, and Crown the Empire together is what more venues should be doing. They are 3 mainstays in this genre. Keep it up!

The place was too small for the amount of bands, and people who assisted.

    Pizza

by Nighthawk on 8/6/19Newport Music Hall - Columbus

Attila never disappoints. The fans are like family. The shirts should have been more vulgar like they use to be. They should have cut the openers, Attila’s set was too short.
