The shuttle is the way to go! Our seats were perfect and great access to food and betting. Everything was bright, colorful, and clean!
Churchill Downs made the day a breeze, and breezy it was! The fascinators were flying as were the horses. Free luxury bus shuttles from the Expo Center dropped us conveniently in the parking lot not far from the entrance. We sipped a mint julep and enjoyed the class and grace of the racecourse. We got the lay of the land by taking the museum tour upon arrival; it was worth the price of the admission and broadened our horizons. It was a great day at the races!
Everything about Derby Week is fantastic! We came out to Churchill Downs for 502’s Day. The weather could have been a bit better, but it was still lots of fun! Everyone was dressed up, beautiful outfits with hats/fascinates. For the first time we took the shuttle from the Expo Ctr. That is the way to go! Hassle free, we were pleasantly surprised! We placed some bets had some wins! Those beautiful horses! Churchill Downs had bright color everywhere and so clean! So much to see. A BIG win for Churchill Downs!
The box for 8 was too small to move around at all. They have betting monitors mounted on the corners which obstruct views of the track. Need more nonsmoking areas. Always a fun day with friends but corporate greed is more and more obvious. Hard to see the backside of the track with all the pavilions they have constructed.
