Uncle Charlie and the rest of the Gang Killed It
UBS Arena - Belmont Park - Long Island
I went for Uncle Charlie Wilson and left amazed by the rest of the incredible show. I was already a big Sisqo and Dru Hill fan so it was great seeing them perform all the hits including the classic “Thong Song”. The big surprise for me was Kem. I had heard the name but didn’t realize how talented the crooner was. Had the whole audience going. Especially the ladies.

Completely disappointed
UBS Arena - Belmont Park - Long Island
I saw Charlie Wilson a few years ago and he was great. He sounded good and sang all the songs I wanted to hear but that night he opened with a song that I didn’t recognize and the next three songs weren’t his songs. He sounded off key and his performance wasn’t that good. I loved him since his Gap band days but I was disappointed this time.

I want to see him again and bring him back, I was satisfied with his performance. It was the best Mother’s Day I’ve ever had. I really liked him.

I didn't know who Kem was until I heard him sing, His performance was excellent. Kem was the best performer of the night. Charlie Wilson did his best, his performance was good as well as DruHill.

I went for KEM
UBS Arena - Belmont Park - Long Island
The UBS Arena is beautiful and convenient. EVERYONE who works at the venue was friendly and professional. I gave my 3 Star review because I thought KEM was the headliner and that is who I went to see. KEM was awesome, Dru Hill was good. I did not enjoy Charlie Wilson, sorry. I could have listened to KEM all evening. (In addition, the MC became a little too raunchy towards the end.)

Great show!
UBS Arena - Belmont Park - Long Island
I enjoyed seeing Charlie Wilson, Dru Hill and Kem perform! They put on a great show for Mother's Day. But I believe that there should be screens placed beside the stage to give a better view. It's difficult to see the artists while sitting up high

Taken it Back!
UBS Arena - Belmont Park - Long Island
I had a really special time with family and friends. We all agreed that we could not clearly see the performance the way we expected. There was one screen showing video of each performer. I would have enjoyed it better if there had been clearer visibility and screens in each section of the arena showing the artist. Overall. I had a good time.
Charlie Wilson Concert Schedule
The Gap Band alumnus and adult contemporary R&B superstar Charlie Wilson has been dazzling audiences and listeners with his sultry vocals since the takeoff of his solo career in the early 2000s. Charlie Wilson's tour dates feature an electrifying energy more akin to a tight-knit party than a sold-out concert, as seen in his 2017 In It To Win It Tour, his 2015 Forever Charlie Tour and his 2013 Love, Charlie Tour, among many others. Wilson is known for his smooth funk & soul singing style, which, combined with his talents as a songwriter, producer and keyboardist, has led to the creation of numerous R&B hits over his eight solo studio albums. On stage, Charlie puts on a show with an unmatched level of energy. He beckons crowds to take to their feet and feel the music as his band delivers with tightly composed rhythms and he serenades with his dulcet melodies. In addition to praise from fellow performers, Charlie Wilson's music has earned him 11 Grammy Award nominations, six NAACP Image Award nominations (along with one win for Outstanding Album), and numerous honors from BET, Billboard and Soul Train, along with acknowledgements from across the music industry and beyond.
Charlie Wilson Background
Charlie Wilson was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1953. The son of a Christian minister, he learned to play piano and sing in church, providing the musical background that led to the formation of The Gap Band with his brothers Ronnie and Robert. After the group announced their retirement in 2010, Charlie shifted his focus to concentrate on his solo career, becoming Billboard Magazine's No. 1 Adult R&B Artist and a breakout success. Wilson's first solo album, Bridging The Gap, came in 2000, earning him acclaim from the single "Without You." His follow-up release, Charlie, Last Name Wilson, went certified gold and produced the eponymous single (along with fellow R&B vocalist R. Kelly) by which he is most often known. In subsequent years, Charlie Wilson continued to release and chart on the Billboard Hot 200 and R&B/Hip-Hop charts and sold more than 1 million copies of his albums. Wilson has inspired generations of performers who also feature him on their own records. He was given the affectionate nickname "Uncle Charlie" by Snoop Dogg and collaborated with the rapper (and Justin Timberlake) on the 2013 track "Signs.
