Bring It! Live Background
In 2014 Lifetime premiered Bring It!, a reality series following Dianna "Miss D" Williams and the Dancing Dolls team, which operates out of the Dollhouse Dance Factory in Jackson, Mississippi. The Dolls, a rotating troupe of dancers aged 10 to 17, have won a slew of trophies and Grand Champion titles since their founding in 2001. The Dolls primarily compete in hip-hop majorette competitions' Stand Battles, during which members of each team go toe to toe in high-energy performance routines. Bring It! follows the natural drama of those battles, as well as the behind-the-scenes action among the dancers and their parents that fuels the passion of each routine.
During the fifth season of Bring It!, Miss D introduced a huge change to the Dance Factory: In addition to new assistant coaches and team captains, boys were allowed to dance alongside the girls for the first time. This brought new tension to the show and inspired all the dancers to kick their game up a couple of notches. Bring It! has been one of Lifetime's biggest hits since its premiere, combining the inspiration that comes from dazzling dance competition, the happiness and heartache that arise from pursuing dreams at a young age, and the real-life interactions between family members.
