The shows was amazing. More so experienced as a camaraderie of friends sharing drinks and stories, and so damn good music. I recommend Ben Nichols and any project of Lucero that enjoys poetic, lyrically moving lyrics. Spending Easter in Purgatory couldn't have been any better!
I love seeing Lucero, but seeing Ben's solo shows is killer because he does a lot of songs they don't usually do live.

Ben is amazing! I spoke with him and he was totally cool about taking a picture with me and everything. He was hanging out with the crowd for more than an hour before he went on - just a super cool, down to earth guy.
This very down to earth performer hung out with fans at the bar before his performance. If he had a planned set list for the performance, I couldn't tell. He took requests that were shouted out from the fans. He played a couple of cover songs and a couple of songs that Lucero is still working on and are not yet released. The sound quality was great for an acoustic show in a smaller venue. It really felt like everyone was in the front three rows, a nice intimate setting.
Show ruled, venue was great! Small number and Ben was basically just chilling. He played an almost entirely request show. He has unbelievable talent but is even better at connecting with people. One of the best shows I have ever been too.
This was an absolutely wonderful show. I could not have asked for a better concert experience. Ben played what the audience asked. He was very engaging with the audience and it was a very interactive show as a result.
