Outstanding show and vibe. The Birchmere is probably my second favorite venue in the DMV only because I have to drive from Baltimore. But this trio backed by a few local musicians was great. I didn't catch the name of the local group but they performed a single from their CD that was very good. Highly recommend this show and venue.
A terrific concert. Norman, Kirk, Rick and fellow band members are outstanding musicians. Super performance. And The Birchmere is a wonderful venue with delicious food.
One of the best shows I have ever had the pleasure of attending!! BWB showed their collective "Asses Off!!" Brown, Whalum & Braun proved just how great they are as individuals & it only gets better when they join forces!! Hell they sound better live than they do recorded!! Two hours of pure musical ecstasy!! If you ever have the opportunity to sèe these artists as solo acts or together do not hesitate!! You will be glad you did!!
Wow! What a wonderful performance by 3 great musician. First, Norman Brown is one of my favorites. He is so full of great energy. Kirk Whalum is wonderful! And Wow! Rick Braun is so amazing! It was a beautiful Tuesday with great music and food. Absolutely, love the Birchmere. Good food and great music. I would love to see BWB every time they are in the DMV area.
The Birchmere is great, food was absolutely delicious and the show was awesome. Norman Brown is always exciting and the standout. Rick Braun is such a talent. Would see them again and again.
Music at its best! BWB came out smoking and kept the fire lit for the entire night.
It was sad these three talented performers could not be understood in the audience. The sound was so loud you could not hear what was being said except during times when only one performer was playing. My ears rang for 30 minutes after the show.
What a spectacular show!! First time seeing Norman Brown, loved it!!! The talent of Geo Benson, the musical vision of Wes Montgomery, beautifuly arranged.
BWB was awesome!! The best concert I have heard and seen in a long time. I would love a live album of this concert...it is up there with Bob Marley Live
We saw BWB as part of the Berks Jazz Fest in Reading, PA. They were awesome. Really engaging with the crowd and just a great well rounded show which showcased the musical talents of Norman Brown, Kirk Whalum and Rick Braun. This was my first time seeing them together, and it was well worth it!
