The Allen Americans are heading to the playoffs in the ECHL and the entertainment and excitement of the game is outstanding. The 5700 seat arena where the game is played doesn't have a bad seat anywhere. Fans are great, lively and best thing about the game is the team is a winner. Also FREE Parking at the garage and many restaurants to eat at without having to park anywhere else but the parking garage by the arena. Most games are on weekends that make it a great family or date night. Capture the excitement and go out and see a local team and have fun doing it.
We have a good time it was friend my mom birthday and she was happy
The action was great, intense and very spirited. A game that the whole family can go to and the best is that in the Allen Event Center where capacity is 6700, there is not a bad seat in the house. Up close and personal. Go out and enjoy watching the Allen Americans win game after game. Playoffs are just around the corner.
Great night of action in a family-friendly environment.
Allen Americans game was fantastic. The fans are amazing too
The stadium is great! The games are exciting! This is a great place to see hockey games for not a lot of money!
Loved our seats - great time. My only down side was the parking. Online shows handicap parking closer to the actual center, however, this is NOT the case. The only parking available is across the street in the garage and I did not see any handicap parking in there. I seen numerous elderly people being dropped off because of this and it really created a boggle with the "driving" to park around the area.
Great facility and non stop action. Will definitely go to more games.
This event was a birthday gift from my husband and my first ever hockey game experience! Our seats were only two rows up from the ice, so a lot of the action was in my face! I loved the speed, and intensity of the game, too. I’ve already selected some of my favorite players including Breton, Pollock, and Sadek. Looking forward to another Americans game and wishing the Allen Americans a very successful season. Go RED!!!
I will definitely attend another Americans game. Everything about the experience was great from parking, to finding seats, the quality of the seating/viewing, the food, and finally the staff. Thanks Allen Americans for putting on a great game too, my toddler and I both loved it.
The Allen Americans are a great team and provide a great night out for a family. The Allen Event Center is a fantastic facility to host their games. My family drives from Greenville for them and only wishes we’d discovered them sooner. The New Year’s Eve game was a welcomed change from the typical “party ‘till the ball drops” celebration.
This is a great venue for hockey. The game was exciting.
The view from our seats was incredible; however, the seats were broken and would not stay upright. The season ticket holder behind us told the maintenance man that came to look at them that they broke last year. The maintenance man told us that he might could ratchet strap them. We moved down a couple of seats and sat in some that were not broken. Overall, I’d pay that price to go again! Loved the action from those seats!
The Allen Americans provide exciting and entertaining family fun AND at an affordable price. The staff ensured we felt welcomed and they were friendly and professional. LOVED IT!
The seats were GREAT !! Had a GREAT family night. Was the grand baby's 1st game. Was a wonderful time.
Everything was great except the concession stands. The workers looked lost and I missed almost an entire period waiting on them and the line wasn’t even long. Not many people were happy in line and lots of complaining.
In the words of the Dropkick Murphys, “Old-time hockey, bar the door! Clear the track it’s all out war!” Yes, I’d had my fill of basketball for the winter! I was ready for some stick and puck action! So that means I was off to see my favorite hockey team, and the one I can afford tickets for, the multi championship winning ALLEN AMERICANS! They were taking on the Kansas City Mavericks. Mavericks? Wait a minute, I was just cheering on the Mavericks last week. Oh, that was the Dallas Mavericks basketball team. Never mind. Okay, not a huge crowd on hand, but a loyal crowd none the less. In fact, I was one of the few in the Allen Event Center that wasn’t sporting a RED hockey jersey. Before any slam and bam could take place though we all stood to our feet as some little girl, and I do mean little, belted out the Canadian National anthem, Oh Canada! Oh Canada? Is there a Kansas City in Canada? Okay, maybe both teams are firmly grounded in the U.S.A., but there was a total of 25 Canadians between the two teams. Okay, I’m fine with Oh Canada. What was weird though, was the fact that those around me seemed to know all the words to the northern country’s anthem. Maybe I’m not as worldly as I thought. So, drop the puck, it’s time to go! And did the home team ever go! With only 33 ticks off the clock, American’s Jacob Doty slapped in the first score for the Americans! I’ve never been to a hockey game where a team scored so quickly. And of course, we all jumped to our feet to sing along with the American’s song, “Don’t stop living in the RED!” even though I was pretty much dressed in brown. I really should plan a little more for these games. Then just two and a half minutes later, Dante Salituro put in another goal for the home team, and we’re still living in the red! Then amazingly, American Zach Pochiro took the American’s lead to 3 to 0 in the first period! Oh my gosh! This is going to be a living in the red blowout! The fans were cheering, and the dancer were shaking their thing! Probably just to keep warm. It’s ice hockey. Yea, it’s a little chilly in there. So, is this going to be a shut out? Well, there was still lots of hockey to be played, and the Maverick’s forward Darian Dziurzynski put one in on the Americans closing out the first period 3 to 1. As the announcer told Darian’s stats for the year, the crowd around me yelled out in unison, “Who cares!” I was just impressed the announcer could pronounce the name Dziurzynski. That was as impressive as the little girl’s singing of Oh Canada. Okay, with the coming of the second period, some dude with another weird last name slapped in a shot to bring the game’s score 3 to 2, and once again the announcer gave the Maverick’s player’s stats for the year which was followed by the crowd yelling, “Who cares!” Such must be a hockey tradition. Apparently, this tradition carries on with yelling at the officials. In fact, as Neil Diamond came on the big screen to sing his classic SWEET CAROLINE, I was all excited about yelling out the traditional “So good! So good!” which is kind of the cool thing to yell out during that song these days. Not so for hockey games apparently. Instead of singing “So good! So good!” the crowd yelled out to the officials, “Refs, you suck! You suck!” I guess the crowd needed something to yell about, because the Mavericks tied up the score in the second period. Okay, we’ve got a game now. Well, we did have until the guys from Kansas City (by way of Canada) scored again, and again, and again! Gee, I’m guess we’re not living in the red anymore. In fact, the Mavericks went on such a scoring spree that the chant, “Who cares!” began to wear a little thin. As the Mavericks finished up the game with 9 unanswered goals, the crowd chant was more like, “We’re out of here because we seriously don’t care.” Yup, the Americans go down 9 to 3. Gee, what happened to my Allen Americans that owned all those Kelly Cup championship banners hanging in the rafters? No living in the red for this team. I’m switching back to basketball.
The actual event was great but we were sold tickets that belonged to season ticket holders.
During our winter break we experienced our first hockey game. We absolutely loved the Allen Americans and have bought future tickets. The seats are amazing, the atmosphere is exhilarating and we had a great time.
