As I said, constructive criticism. Reviews are supposed to help future plans. Please take my straightforwardness as such. =)
I'd like to EXPLICITLY state that NOTHING below (with the exception of ticket price vs lineup) would deter me from seeing that show again!
So:
Ticket price vs lineup.
At least Friday, great preformances all around! I'd pay to see that show over and over (see individual reviews below).
32 dollar tickets are okay with me. However, when you tack on 20 dollars in fees, it's NOT okay EVER. There needs to be a flat rate. Be straight forward with people. This single thing kept ALL but 1 of my 'country concert goer friends' from coming. Had there been, and/or it becomes, a lesser lineup and higher prices, you can count on myself and many others to be in that same boat. Don't milk the cow dry!
The whole "grass under your feet" thing was the 'hot commodity' and it completely backfired. Lol Just saying, I feel like they over exemplified the fact, when weather is such an uncertainty. Personally, I don't mind mud, but I could see it made some people miserable.
The 'less downtime' thing worked very well. Last year we sat around alot waiting for performances. However, you do need SOME downtime. People need SOME time to go to the bathroom, eat, get drinks, etc.
I really disliked the Porta potties and Food being all the way in back. I understand the grocery store effect. It forces people to walk the venue more, check everything out, but it was a little much.
The RAM experience ran 50x more smooth than last year!!!
Pass it along, as they did very well.
The venue, overall, was better than I expected (other than the topological/soil fertility issues)
The view was pleasant and the size was PERFECT.
Though I was jealous, the premium seating is a good idea. Perfect amount of premium seating without pushing everyone else back. Don't change this.
The show itself was absolutely AMAZING!!!
A Thousand Horses performed well, I was really impressed.
On the second stage Austin Webb, did good.
Locally, Two Timing Band was off the charts. They were much more in sync and fluid than the others.
Brothers Osborne, just great artists ; period
Brett Eldredge was very good, per usual.
Darius did a good job engaging all democraphics by playing older and newer music of his, and covers.
I had a blast. I hope to have a similar experience next year.
