I went to Buzz Beach Ball to see Lovely the Band, AWOLNATION, and Portugal. The Man. I sat in GA which was alright, however, once AWOL finished - A LOT of the crowd cleared out. The Portugal. The Man set was good, but not amazing as in previous years. I wish the Buzz Team would have opened the pit to everyone for that show because 1. Most people that stayed, got the impression that the band was mad.. They didn't even perform an encore and they were the last set. 2. The facility was cleared out before they started. It would have been nice for the fans that actually stayed to get a little extra by being able to move to the pit. I think Buzz Beach Ball is a neat concept, but has so much more potential than what was displayed this year. If you want a festival vibe, maybe add in a small silent disco or an open area where the Buzz is giving away stickers, shirts, sign ups for other offers, etc. (I suggest taking advantage of the party space near the back entrance, diagonal from the merch tent, there's a sign that says "party place" or something like that) Meeting the radio hosts would be a nice touch to give Beach Ball too! The food at this venue is extremely disappointing. The previous Beach Ball I had attended was in 2013 at Berkley Riverfront Park. The set lists, the stages, the vendors (food and beer), etc... were quite different in comparison... take me back to Berkley! Thank you for the hard work and efforts, I think there is room for improvements for sure!

    The bands were great

by MichelleW84 on 7/30/18Providence Medical Center Amphitheater - Bonner Springs

The venue could’ve used some improvement. Hardly any vendors, only a few food options open with long wait times when there were closed food vendors on the left side of the stage for example. Not a big turn out. Didn’t stay for it all because of the heat if u could’ve brought chairs or umbrellas to avoid the sun I would’ve stayed longer.

Beach Stage was far better than buzz stage

by Buzzlistenet93 on 7/30/18Providence Medical Center Amphitheater - Bonner Springs

The buzz stage always leaves something to be desired since you can't always hear an artist clearly unless you're in the pit. Overall great show though.

The lawn was extremely boring. I wish I had spring for pit tickets but I couldn’t afford them.

Bands were great / Venue was NOT!

by RedBarista on 7/30/18Providence Medical Center Amphitheater - Bonner Springs

This event started at 1:30pm (doors opened) and ended after 10:30pm (didn't stay for last band). There were numerous beer and drink concessions open, but only 1 food concession and that was lame hot dogs, brats and sub par nachos. How do you expect a crowd of this size to spend 10+ hours on site and not have plenty of food options open to them? They don't allow you to bring in your own food and they don't let you leave and re-enter, so you're at the mercy of their ONE concession stand! Very disappointed in this venue - I don't know how they manage to have so many events here with such poor amenities.

    The venue sucked!

by ConcertChief on 7/30/18Providence Medical Center Amphitheater - Bonner Springs

It is hard to believe at an ALL DAY event.....it was easier to get a beer than water or food. We actually stood in line so long we completely missed all of RKS show. :-( The entire lawn area had only one concession open and they ran out of everything. Please take it back to Sporting Park so hiking between shows to see the other stage is not necessary. We will not attend another one if it is at Sandstone.

    Great music fest!

by paRockFan22 on 9/13/17Providence Medical Center Amphitheater - Bonner Springs

I had a great time going to the Beach Ball this year. The line up was solid, saw some old favorites and found some new ones. The venue was well set up so it was easy to get some refreshments and get around without too much crown mob. Parking seemed to be plentiful though an Uber stand closer to the gate would have been nice; I saw some people having to walk a good ways just to get to where they could be picked up. I liked the smaller second stage for a close up with the act (and the little beach). Tailgating on the second day was good and no-one hassled us and the attitude was mellow. I'd love to do this again.

    Buzz Beach Ball

by Whitd4wg on 9/12/17Providence Medical Center Amphitheater - Bonner Springs

They should have had an option to upgrade your tickets to the pit. Instead you had to buy an entirely separate additional ticket, wasting any money you had already spent. Other than that I loved it, security was never in your face which is good, and you felt comfortable sitting on the grass, standing, or walking around.

I go to buzz beach ball every year. This year I was dissapointed with the venue. Don't get me wrong, I like the venue, but not for this event. I don't like how we were all sectioned out. At other buzz events we could be together as a crowd. I always get general admission and we get to push our way to the front if we want. At this location we didn't have that option. I think buzz beach ball needs to be held somewhere else next year.

    Kflay and Foster were fantastic!

by BeeQuetz on 9/11/17Providence Medical Center Amphitheater - Bonner Springs

The concert was amazing, this was the first time I had been here. Kflay did not disappoint with a fantastic performance and Foster put on an amazing show as well. I was so disappointed in the lack of food for such a long concert and the bathrooms area smelled terrible.
