Everyone should go! ! ! ! It was the most fun. Bands were amazing.
I was sitting in section 106 and could not understand the lyrics, my wife had the same problem....Maybe my old age LOL next time I'll wear ear plugs to drown out some of the distortion
The Buzz put together an amazing rock concert! I had so much fun with all my pals!
BLUE OCTOBER AND SHINEDOWN CONCERT WAS SPECTACULAR
Shinedown is becoming stronger and stronger in their live shows. Brent S. he's a heck of a Frontman, while the rest of the guys are more into the band every day. They made the audience participate as I never saw them participate. I hope they return to Houston very soon with their new album.
My daughter bought me and a friend of mine tickets for my birthday. I had an Awesome time, thank you! For a gal my age who listen to all the earlier Rock, I came only to see Blue October and they Killed it !!!! It was a privilage to witness their Awesome proformance. I shouted, sang as loud as could, jumped up and down like a crazy old lady and had a blast. Thank you Gentlemen!! I must say, Nothing More>Wow, Excellent !! X Ambasidors> Unforgetable. Shinedown > what can I say, Absolutly, unforgettable, Fantastic and obvious the STARS of the evening!!
Damn good, the buzz puts on a great weenie roast! 2nd time going to this show. Both headliners have been awesome. Well worth it!
Overall the bands were great. My favorite was showdown! They were super awesome!
Show was great! Only reason for not being 5 stars was some acoustics issues.
Great show! Was definitely worth sitting in the sun in Houston!
I had a great time at the Weenie Roast, tickets were cheap and the bands were awesome. There were some sound issues for the first 2 songs X Ambassadors played but other than that I thought they were great, cant wait to see them play a full set. Shinedown was as always Awesome. It was hot but it's July in Texas so other than that, great time.
The two major acts at this show were Blue October and Shinedown. I'm not a fan of Blue, but I've been following Shinedown for about a decade, and this marks my third Shinedown concert (my wife's forth). All around, I was super disappointed with this show. The sounds quality was awful. We were in the lawn, dead center, near the front (pretty solid view, actually). I've stood out there before (Disturbed, A7X, Iron Maiden, Dream Theater, a few others), and it normally sounds just fine. For this show, I couldn't hear the guitar at all, just bass, drums, and vocals. Next was the poor set list. This show pandered hard to the slow radio singles and ballads. They played for a solid hour and a half, but from their hard rock repertoire, only played Enemies, Devour, and Diamond Eyes. Nowhere Kids, Cyanide Sweet tooth, Adrenaline, Bully, and other similar songs where absent. My final gripe is the dependency on Simple Kind of Man. I have a big issue with industry leading acts leaning on covers, rather than on their own expansive library. The crowd was easily the most existed for that Lynard Skynard song, which just emphasized the need to reconsider the set list.
Awesome bands, awesome venue, thoroughly enjoyed it. Shinedown and x ambassadors sounded great. Deleted one star because the drinks are outrageous!
The three above bands were AMAZING! Meg Myers was a disappointment, shouldn't have been in the lineup, but hey, great show regardless. Rock on!!!!!!!!!!
THE WEATHER WAS SO DAMN HOT EVEN AT 5:30PM. I LOVE THE BANDS... I HAVE SEEN BLUE OCTOBER A COUPLE TIMES BEFORE ALREADY AND THIS TIME IT WAS NOT HIS GREATEST PERFORMANCE. MEG RYANS IS BEAUTIFUL LADY BUT SHE DID NOT PLAY THE WAY I EXPECTED HER TO FOR BEING A FEMALE ARTIST. I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR STAIN AND EVANECENCE TO COME BACK TO THE LINE UP.
I was only interested in one of the bands in the lineup - Blue October. They delivered they're usual, awesome performance. They should have been the headliners, but their set time was good enough. I have been to many live events - music and sports - and expect there to be fees and taxes upon purchase. I jumped at the opportunity for an awesome priced ticket at $9.45. Who can beat that for an event like this, right? I purchased two lawn tickets ($9.45 x 2 = $18.9); however, my total was more than double ($38.xx) after the taxes and fees were included. One could argue that it's still a great deal given the number of bands, etc., but it seems a little excessive when the fees and taxes account for for more than 50% of my total expense. Overall, the concert was great and The Pavillion did a good job as always.
Blue October was the best! This wasn't shine downs best show
I thought the concert was excellent. The first band, "Nothing More" was awesome and of course Shinedown was the best closing band.
Shinedown and Blue October were amazing, as we're Nothing More. Meg Myers and X Ambassadors were absolutely dreadful. I had a headache from their music. Overall it was an awesome show.
