My man cudi just f***** rocked the showed along with chip tha ripp. Nas and Damien Marley was real good and Tinie Tempah got us hyped. But overrall cudder just killed it I was jammin
Although I have already reviewed this concert...reading through many of the other reviews I notice the two hour set for Nas/Damien Marley seems to be a sticking point for some listeners. O.K. here's the thing. I was going down to this for Nas/Marley hoping to see a good Kid Cudi show as well. I didn't have a problem with the two hour set I LOVED it and if it wasn't for that two hour set I don't think it would have been a good concert. Reggae/Hiphop makes a good marriage, you MOVE to it, if it "bored" you, if you didn't like it I am guessing you don't like that genre' of music. Do not, NOT go to the Caribbean, please. If you went for Kid Cudi and are disappointed in the sound quality, lack of, I agree. I didn't stay for the entire Kid Cudi set, even though my daughter said MOM you are going to regret leaving early...she LOVES Kid Cudi's music...I left because I too, could not understand the lyrics and wasn't familiar enough with his music. I still liked his gear shawdow light show and listened to about 30 minutes and left, I had a 3 hour drive home to do. Anybody unfortunate enough to be living up here for MUSIC should have appreciated the entire show. I think the general energy ( lacking) vibe( lacking) of the locals showed. It's hard to get the people up here to express themselves,c ould the be the weather. And yes, I am from here, but I don't stay here all year, I go where music is.
Damien and Nas were good. The whole crowd wasn't as into them, as they were waiting for Kid Cudi and some songs they were more familiar with. Cudi had a live band behind him and he was trying to rock out. It was a fail though because the sound was way too loud and it just overpowered Cudi. You couldn't understand him when he was singing or even talking. Like a song would be playing but you wouldn't be able to tell what song it was because all you heard was noise.
This concert was the best I have ever seen in my whole life. The energy of the DJ spread like butter throughout the entire crowd. There wasn't a single spec of my five senses that hadn't met its maximum. Nas completely destroyed my brain with his immensely riveting rhymes and styles. and who would have expected anything less than amazing from Damian Marley. The different genres converged in the end to create a type of music that must be listened to by the gods... But Kid Cudi absolutely sucked hardcore ass.
I loved the concert, but others diss Kid Cudi because they don't know him like people who are real fans know him. People only know his hot songs. I know his whole album so I was excited.
Best concert I have been to in a long time. High energy level threw out the whole show. The music was amazing. Damian Marley, Kid Cudi and Nas did awesome jobs keeping the crowd involved. I will def be going again. :-) the light show was also spectacular.
The show overall was good, tinie tempah perfomed a few songs, nas killed it, marley jammed, and Cudi brought that cleveland chill and pleased the crowd with his hits new and old. Seeing Chip was sick too. the only downside was the sound quality as on the floor it was bumping almost too loud and a little fuzzy and up in the nosebleeds it was quiet and you couldnt hear the vocals but otherwise it was a good show.
Real good show! Nas really got it started and cudi stole the show.
The crowd setup was a waste of time, on top of that the security was a pain in my patootey! Nas and Damien Marley should never go on tour together, they were absolutely annoying and played way too long! on the other hand, Kid Cudi cleaned up thier poor acts and played one hell of a show! I love that man! Thank You <3
The overall concert was too long. Tinie was good but most people were not at the stadium yet. Nas and Damian Marley went on for too long. I wish Nas performed more than Damian Marley and Kid Cudi did not come on until 10:40 PM which is completely too late to perform.
