The show was better than I expected!

    by Marley0904 on 7/14/09Rosemont Theatre - Rosemont

The show was great! We went for my birthday in a group of 8, and everyone had a blast! They played all the great songs we wanted to hear, and even sounded like the real thing. I love that they actually played the part of each singer during the show as if you were at a real Beatles show! Would recommend seeing it if you haven't already!

    For old people

by LillyNU on 7/14/09Rosemont Theatre - Rosemont

People sat through the entire show. A group of girls that stood to dance were told to sit by a guard. It was the most boring concert ever.

    Unbelievably realistic

    by Lovemy3dogs on 7/14/09Rosemont Theatre - Rosemont

I bought the tickets to 1964 for my husband. He is a huge Beatle fan, early years. I was just along for the ride but within minutes of the first song being played I was hooked on this foursome who sounded so much like the real thing. I felt like I was being thrown back in time when music was simpler and the words had meaning. I would recommend this tribute to anyone who asks and wouldn't think twice about seeing the show again and again.

    1964 the Tribute

by TLChicago on 7/14/09Rosemont Theatre - Rosemont

Sitting in the first 5 rows it was amazing how good they all looked. They had mannerisms down pat for thier identities, voices were great, stage presence was totally convincing. Yet they all still had the skill to be having fun being there. An extra added benefit was how "John" could NOT say cell phone when he asked everyone to take out thier "you know *making a hand motion to indicate a phone" Dick Tracy thing". I do plan on attending again next year and hopefully bring alot alot of friends that I talked to about the TRIBUTE. A totally GEAR performance. TLC

1964 The Tribute was an Amazing Beatle likeness!

by JudyPoo on 7/14/09Rosemont Theatre - Rosemont

If you enjoy the Beatles & wish to momentarily take a step back in time, relax or sing along...this is the show for you. Awesome likeness to the real thing. Exuberant performance by a band that LOVES performing the songs of yesteryear...from the haircuts down to the shoes...and the voice comparison is amazing. Had a great time & will see them again when they return to the area!

    1964 Means 1964

    by SPG1244 on 7/14/09Rosemont Theatre - Rosemont

The show was really good, but I guess I didn't quite understand that only songs from 1964 would be played. I thought they might mix it up a bit more. Very authentic sounding.

1964 the Tribute a little boring

by bronco81 on 7/13/09Meadow Brook Music Festival - Rochester Hills

The sound of the band was good, but the time frame of the music could have been expanded. I would have liked to hear all the Beatles music, not just the late sixties. It also seemed odd that the warm-up performer played all Beatles music.

    1964 - The Tribute - The Best

by TheSixthBeatle on 7/12/09Meadow Brook Music Festival - Rochester Hills

I'm almost ashamed to admit to people how many Beatles tribute bands I see. It's a tough act to replicate, and tougher still to make me want to see a band repeatedly. I think this was the 5th time I've seen 1964 - The Tribute. It was also a gorgeous evening at one of my favorite venues, and was a wonderful evening. The band is great.

    1964 The Tribute

by jacovanman on 7/11/09Meadow Brook Music Festival - Rochester Hills

I saw GetBack at Meadowbrook several years ago and thought 1964 was the same band but renamed to 1964 to reflect that they were now doing only early Beatles. Not sure it was the same band or only one person (George) was the same. Also, two of the performers for this Meadowbrook gig (Paul and John) were different people than those on the web site and in the advertisements. They were good, but young and not as accomplished as George. He really had the licks down perfect. Last, we were really close such that we were in behind the PA speakers suspended from the stage and there were no PA speakers or monitors on the stage. So, we heard mostly drums and bass and missed much of the richness in the vocals and harmonies. That might have had some to do with it now being as good of an experience. Being in the first front rows is good for watching them play, not so great for getting a good mix of the sound. We saw Rain early this year at Masonic Temple. I'd give that 5 Stars.

1964 The Tribute - Outstanding Show

by Detroit on 7/10/09Meadow Brook Music Festival - Rochester Hills

We have seen this show in the past and enjoyed every moment of it. We are big Beatle fans and these guys have a great show. Although these were not all of the same band members we had seen in this show last year it was still a wonderful time. 1964 The Tribute is a show for all ages which all ages can enjoy and have a wonderful time.

    Nostalgic fun!

by floridagal on 7/10/09Meadow Brook Music Festival - Rochester Hills

This is the second time that my husband and I have seen the 1964 The Tribute Beatles band. Lots of good fun. We sang and danced in the aisles to all of the songs. The band is very true to the original Beatles in sound and action. We relived our "Beatlemania" days with the band. Great fun!

    1964 the Tribute rocks on!

by beersy on 7/10/09Meadow Brook Music Festival - Rochester Hills

Beatles fans of all ages were treated to an energetic show that captured the spirit of the beloved Fab Four in their heydey. Musically, this installment of 1964 the Tribute, no doubt, impressesed Beatlemaniacs with near spot-on treatment of the most diverse and recognizable music catalogue in the history of rock 'n' roll. From the costumes and the way the players held their guitars, to the cheeky Beatle chit-chat between numbers, it was obvious that proper reverance was carefully paid. Although the end of the show felt rather abrupt with just one curtain call and considerably less than 90 minutes on stage, Fab Four fans seemed satisfied. All in all, "...a splendid time is guaranteed for all."

    1964 are Fab!

by Beatles0ldie on 7/10/09Meadow Brook Music Festival - Rochester Hills

These guys are great! Appart from the looks and the manerisms of our original heros, they are brilliant musicians. Every song is note perfect to the records. Every little nuance is just so. They all play their parts very well, but for me George's guitar playing was perfection. The audience was from 5 to 80. Lots of teens there. I took my 18 year old and her two friends and they loved it. They knew most of the songs and were singing and dancing along with the band. I was only sorry that the set was shorter than I would have liked. I have seen them before and recall them playing a little longer.

    Very Good Show

by Sparjester on 7/10/09Meadow Brook Music Festival - Rochester Hills

I was a little disappointed that a couple of the original members were not present, however their replacements were excellent. The music was superb down to every lyric and note.
